This week's messages
Others' Unexpected Choices
No matter how well we think we know someone and
know what they will do next or how they will react,
there are times when their choices can create havoc in
our lives. Whether it's a family member who turns on
us, a partner who decides they no longer want to be
part of our life or a friend who is no longer a friend,
their decisions come to us as unexpected and often
painful surprises. What happened, could we have done
something to change this and what does it mean about
us are questions we ask ourselves when this happens.
Many of our life plans include other people. It is not
possible to plan a partnership, for example, without
anticipating that it will be long-term. And we do hope
that our family will be supportive and there for us when
we need them and that the friendships that we
cultivate will be long lasting. But that is not always the
case. Others' choices are not about us and no matter
how they affect us, they are about the other person
and we can learn to deal with others' unexpected
choices with grace and find comfort no matter what
happens.
When someone makes a choice that affects us and the
role that they play in our life we have to regroup,
restructure our future and figure out how to move
forward without them. Trying to do this when we feel
betrayed, devastated and afraid is very difficult. We
would prefer that the situation would just go away and
that things would return to the way they were before.
But that does not happen. The unexpected is often the
way the Universe moves us in another direction, even if
it is not one that we had expected to go into or go
there alone.
We have several ways to accept this-we can be
devastated and do our best to change their mind,
which will be difficult, take a long time and the
outcome may not be what we want. Or we can release
the situation and uncover the blessing, knowing that
the Universe never takes something away without
bringing us something more suited to our energy. At
this time, any situation that stands in the way of our
spiritual growth will be changed and even removed.
This week, if someone has made an unexpected choice
that changes your plans try to find the blessing. Yes,
you will be upset and even hurt but there is always a
reason for everything that happens and when you have
chosen to move forward on your spiritual path you also
agree to structure your life to make that possible. Find
the blessing in others' unexpected choices and you will
find comfort and make room for the peace, joy and
unconditional love that is your life purpose.

Blessings to you all!
The December article is posted on the Uriel Heals
website and this month's message is about Dealing with
the Unexpected. It can be a struggle to maintain our
spiritual balance when the unexpected creates chaos in
our lives. This week's message discusses how we can
find comfort when we experience the unexpected as a
result of others' choices. Archangel Uriel's message
asks whether we expect the 'next thing' to be better?

How Hard Are You Trying?
I once had a manager who never acknowledged me.
No matter how hard I worked, no matter how many
hours I put into the job, no matter how well my
projects turned out, she would never acknowledge my
efforts. So I worked harder, longer and tried to do
better. But nothing worked. On a professional level I
needed her acknowledgement to get promoted. On a
personal level, I needed her to tell me that I was a
valuable part of the team. Eventually I left the job
because could no longer manage the stress. But I know
that I really left because I was tired of not being
acknowledged.
We all want others to acknowledge our efforts but
more importantly, we want them to acknowledge us as
a person. And we believe that if we can work or try
hard enough, they will see the value in who we are and
in what we do and finally recognize us. We will do our
best to force them to acknowledge us, no matter what
it costs us on a personal level. But often we never get
that acknowledgement and it makes us feel less
valuable, less worthy and sometimes, even a failure.
When we look for acknowledgement from others we
often attract people who will never acknowledge us, no
matter how hard we try. If that seems illogical,
remember that we often look to others to give us what
we cannot give ourselves. So if we are looking outside
of ourselves for acknowledgement, it is because we
need someone else to tell us that we are OK. And since
we attract people based on the energy that we put out
and who we are, we look for acknowledgement from
people who are unable to do so because they are
looking for the same thing that we are.
We can find peace in these situations by knowing that
our best has to be good enough for us. And when we
have to work harder and harder without achieving the
results that we want, it's not because we are not
worthy of acknowledgement, we are in a situation
where we are looking for what we want from people
who cannot give it to us. We have several
alternatives-to continue to do whatever we can to
get acknowledged or to realize that we are already
perfect and 'good enough' and let the Universe guide us
to a situation that will give us what we want. There
are always other choices and other directions for our
path once we are willing to acknowledge our own
perfection and then our lives will be filled with people
who will agree with us and we won't have to work hard
for their acknowledgement.

Uriel's Message-Is the Next Thing Better?
When you focus on the next thing being better than
what you have, you are missing the value of the
moment and not allowing yourself to experience what
you have already created. Each time you focus on
what is next you forget that there is only now, this
moment, which is important for you. For each 'next
thing' that occurs on your path is based on what you
are experiencing in the present. When you focus on the
future being better you are losing sight of what is
happening now and inviting the lessons to repeat
themselves.
You have already experienced what happens when you
lose hope in a situation, when you long for change to
happen and are ready to accept anything that you
believe will make the current situation better. More
often than not, the 'next thing' is a repeat of your
current experience. This is not to punish you but to
remind you that the lessons you are learning are
overcome when you accept the responsibility for the
situation, the outcome and the future.
There is no concept of the 'next thing' in the Universe;
there is only what is occurring in the present moment.
So your hope and prayer that the next thing will be
better may not receive the response you desire
because it is meaningless. It is what you do on each
step on your path that determines the future. And,
since the Source knows that you are perfect as you
are, asking for something better than perfection is also
meaningless.
There is nothing better than your current reality
because it is what you have created with all of the
power, understanding and knowledge that you have at
this moment. When you increase your understanding
and knowledge you are able to see where you may
have not exercised your potential, accepted your
perfection or used your power to its full extent. Then
you can create something that reflects your power as
you are able to use it at that moment. Each time you
embrace more of your power you are able to create a
different reality. Recognize the perfection of each
moment and you will be able to create the reality of
your dreams.

Today's Children--The Indigo as Teacher
When I was growing up, I was taught that the adults
knew everything, were always right and that it was my
duty to learn from them. I would have opinions and
knowledge, I was told, when I was an adult. The
concept that children had something to teach adults
was not considered and I can just imagine the response
if I had told my parents that there were things that
they could learn from me. But one thing we learn about
Indigos is that as children they have much to teach us
and can be, at times, our greatest teachers.
Indigos are, among other things, highly empathic. So
much so that they often cannot differentiate between
their own emotions, feelings and perceptions and those
of others. That is why they tend to get overwhelmed in
stressful or difficult situations, because they are
absorbing the emotional energy of everyone around
them, including and especially that of their parents. So
when they appear to be at their worst, maybe it's not
entirely their fault.
I have written before that my Indigo children reflected
many things back to me and when they were being the
most difficult; it was often a sign to me to look at what
was going on in my own life. Whenever I was out of
integrity with myself and my purpose and especially
when I was in fear, my children were the first ones to
make me aware of the emotions and situations that I
was not dealing with effectively. When we do this, our
Indigo children take on whatever we are not willing to
deal with it and they process it for us.
Indigo children are wonderful teachers even if they can
be completely uncompromising and direct to the point
of being rude. There are several Indigo children in my
family (besides mine) and I am always amazed at how
they work hard at their teaching. They often become
so accustomed to processing others' energy that they
forget what their own energy feels like and become
confused and angry. We can help them by reviewing
our own emotions and feelings and processing them for
ourselves. Then we remove that burden from our Indigo
children so that they can learn to process their own
emotions and not carry those of others as well.

Spiritual Mentoring
I am now offering a spiritual mentoring program, where
we will focus on your spiritual growth, current issues or
problems and work through a solution. This program is
available in blocks of four weekly sessions where we
work together to help you move past whatever is
blocking your spiritual path. Information is on the
website on the Spiritual Mentoring page. This program
is different from miracle coaching in that you choose
what you want to focus on during our time together.
Sessions are one-on-one and by telephone so
availability is limited.
Do you really need a miracle right now? Do you wish
you could get just focus on getting whatever you
needed in your life, at this moment and have it
appear? The Miracle Coaching program can teach you
how to do that. Miracle coaching teaches you how to
use your creative power and become a miracle creator,
putting you in control of creating miracles in your life,
instead of just wishing that they would happen.
The 8 week Miracle Program will teach you how to
get 'unstuck' and get the creative energy moving in
your life, so that miracles are an everyday occurrence
in your life. For 8 weeks, I will be your personal coach,
guiding you through this process. Each week you will
have a lesson to complete and a 30 to 45 minute
personal coaching session with me. I am also available
by email on an unlimited basis to provide you with
support and feedback on your progress. You will
receive
a certificate of completion at the end of the course,
acknowledging your success as a miracle creator. You
will also receive a FREE e-book '30 days to Everyday
Miracles', filled with information on how to create
miracles. Coaching availability is limited, so sign up
now.
Information is available on the Uriel Heals website,
Miracle Coaching page.
