Manifesting Joy
We all seek happiness but what we really want is joy,
that feeling that everything is right in our world. And
when we have joy, happiness follows. How can we
create joy in our lives? Is there a secret to manifesting
a state of being that allows us to feel happy, fulfilled
and at peace every day of our lives? Is it something
that we must struggle with and work for? Or is it as
simple as making a decision to choose that path? Since
we are responsible for creating all aspects of our
reality, are we able to create joy as well? And if we do,
does it ensure constant happiness? What stands in the
way of our ability to manifest joy?
There is a secret that many of us know and others do
not. Those who know the secret can live with
confidence and manifest joy at will. Those who do not
know live in fear and accept joy and happiness as it
comes. The secret is that what we know of the world
is a matter of perception-we see what we allow
ourselves to see and experience only those things that
we are able to connect with. We can create joy and
happiness in our lives whenever we choose to do so. It
is simply a matter of how we choose to view the world
and our place in it.
Once we choose joy it becomes our state of being and
everything in our life carries its signature. This does not
mean that we will be forever free from problems or
concerns because we still have lessons to learn. But
when we live in joy we approach every situation from
the position of knowing that we control the outcome of
every situation and nothing can disrupt, stop or stand
in the way of our joy. And since we are always in joy,
we are always happy.
Once we are on the path of joy we attract situations,
people and experiences that magnify our joy. We no
longer have to look for happiness because it is available
to us in every way. No matter how hard we work at
being happy, it will not be permanent until we first
choose to live in joy. And then the happiness that we
seek will be ours effortlessly. This week, choose joy as
your path, no matter what is going on in your life. See
every situation as a channel for joy and every person
as the Universe's tool to bring you closer to manifesting
joy. Remember that you are in control of your reality
and the world responds to you and how you choose to
see it. When you see it with joy, joy will be reflected
back to you and happiness will follow.

Minding Your Own Business
When I was younger and asked my mother a question
that she didn't think she needed to answer she would
tell me to 'mind my own business' and not get involved
in things that did not concern me. At the time it
irritated me because I always wanted to know about
everything that went on around me. As I got older, I
realized that her words were actually good advice and
have learned, through experience, that by minding my
own business I avoid becoming involved in experiences
with others that create chaos and drama in my life.
It is easy to become involved in the worries, concerns
and problems of others, whether they are our friends,
family, acquaintances or co-workers. We do so with
the best of intentions, wanting to help or to give
advice. Sometimes, though, we find ourselves involved
in others' lives to the point where their problems
suddenly become ours. We have become part of
their 'business'. Now we are fully involved in their drama
and all of the issues surrounding it.
From a spiritual perspective, getting involved in others'
business means stepping into their karmic lessons.
Once we do that we take on their issues, even to the
point where they become part of our lives and we have
to resolve them. There is a fine line between being
helpful and taking on someone's karmic issues. How do
we know the difference? Minding our own business is a
good way to start. The people who are always looking
for someone to listen to their problems may just want
someone to talk to or they may want someone to solve
the problems for them. Sometimes the person is looking
for someone to take on their issues and as soon as we
step up they are handed over to us.
When we feel compelled to do something for someone
we may be stepping past being helpful and going into
their business. Is this what we want to do? Do we
want to take on their karma? Resolving others' karma
does not help us with our own, it just adds to the
drama in our lives. When we decide to 'mind our own
business' we set boundaries for how much we will
become involved in others' lessons. Each of us has our
own issues to work through and sometimes our lesson
is to learn to say 'no' to taking on others' business and
allowing them to deal with their own karma and learn to
step into their own power.

Uriel's Message-Choices and Decisions
Every day there are limitless choices available to you.
Your access to them is limited by your level of spiritual
growth and understanding. Only the choices that
resonate with your vibration are visible to you, the rest
wait for you. If you do not choose something that is
within your realm of possibilities it is still available to
you until you are ready to choose it. The kinds of
choices you make depend on your decision to make
choices from power or from fear.
Each day you make choices that reflect your
acceptance of your power and abilities. Each day you
will make different choices that will take you on
different aspects of your path. But what you choose is
less important than how you decide to choose, for it is
your decision as to how you will choose that
determines the kinds of choices that are available to
you.
Deciding to choose from your power opens the path of
joy, abundance and understanding. Deciding to choose
from your fears narrows the range of choices as only
those that reflect your fears are available to you. This
further limits your ability to enjoy the abundance in all
good things that is your birthright. When you choose
from power you acknowledge your greatness and
divinity and your connection with the Source. When
you choose from fear you are forgetting who you are
and your ability to create the reality of your dreams.
Your decisions are the basis for the choices that are
available to you. If you do not see limitless
opportunities unfolding for you, how are you deciding to
choose? Your power is so great that the Universe waits
to do your bidding and will fulfill your every desire
based upon your choices. Choose powerfully and the
abundance, joy and unconditional love that your soul
seeks will be yours in every way. Choose powerfully
and you create a resonance that will create Heaven on
earth for you and for all of humanity. This week,
examine the choices that you believe are available to
you. Know that your choices are only limited by your
decision to choose powerfully or from fear. Decide to
be powerful, dream big, choose from the limitless
options available to you and the Universe will fulfill your
every wish.

Today's Children--Indigos and Details
One difficult characteristic of Indigos is their inability to
work with details. They do not always understand that
some things take time to manifest, that there is order
in the Universe and that timing is part of life's process.
Like reading the end of a story to determine the
outcome, they like to skip over the details and just get
to the reward. For many Indigos who are just entering
the adult world, this can be extremely frustrating. My
Indigo son, who recently graduated from college, really
believed that he was going to find a high paying job
right away, buy the car of his dreams and live the high
life. He has had a strong reality check as he had to
take a lower paying job that is not in his field while he
looks for his dream job. I remind him that this is how
things work and he just has to be patient. Meanwhile,
he is learning some valuable skills in his current job that
will be useful to him in the future. I think he agrees
with me, in part, but to him these are minor details that
he is not interested in.
Indigos' impatience with details can manifest in their
going from one thing to another, whether it's a job,
relationship or even changing their degree track
multiple times in college. They want things to work out
quickly because if they do not then they feel that they
are doing something wrong and they just don't have
time for that. And often, their response is to move on
to the next thing. They want immediate results or they
are not willing to participate in the process. And they
don't like to work through the details, taking the small
steps, to arrive at their goal. It is hard to make them
understand that they are not wasting their time and
they can learn something through every step in the
process. Once the frustration sets in, they are even
more difficult to communicate with.
I have often written about how stubborn Indigos can
be and despite their gifts, they have problems
understanding how life works. Their parents know
because they have been through the process but
Indigos always think that things will be different for
them. And they can be but they still have to work
through a process where shortcuts are not always
available. When I remind my son of the valuable
experience he is getting at his new job, he simply
doesn't hear me and instead, talks about his frustration
at not being able to get the job he wants right now.
Since, like most Indigos, he can get depressed easily, I
am supportive and remind him to focus on his success
and to simply keep looking for the job he wants.
The world doesn't always work the way Indigos want it
to and being patient with the details of life is something
they struggle with. I believe that is why many of them
are getting lessons in patience right now, so they can
understand that yes, they can move the energy, but it
is a process and like any other process, it takes time
for all of the pieces to fall into place in the right way.
Their impatience with details may not go away but they
can learn to work with it and control it so that they
learn to see the value of each experience and
understand that in the end, they will get exactly what
they want and it will be perfect for them.
