Money and Happiness
When we are going through our greatest challenges we
believe that if we had money everything would be OK.
Having money would solve all of our problems and if we
had more money, we could afford to look for a new job
or focus on what we really wanted to do or even take
time to explore other possibilities. Does money really
make
the world go around, as the song says? In the material
world it seems to. The people with money seem to
have wonderful jobs, take exotic vacations and enjoy
themselves more than anyone else. But are they happy
and is there a link to money and happiness?
Money is simply energy and alone, its energy has no
meaning. Instead, its energy takes the meaning that
we give it. So if we believe that there is a connection
between money and happiness, we have just created
our own meaning for its energy and have placed a big
limitation on our happiness. Then, if we have no money,
we are not happy. Or, if we are not happy, we think
that having money will create happiness in our lives. So
we look for ways to create more money, thinking that
then we will be happy instead of creating happiness
and knowing that once we are happy, the money will
follow.
The same link between money and happiness exists in
all areas of our life. I used to think that if I had a job
with a high salary and executive title I would be happy.
What I discovered was that I was unhappy in the
corporate world and no amount of money would have
made me happy in that environment. And I didn't
understand that because other people who had these
jobs certainly looked happy and seemed to enjoy
themselves. Now I realize that they 'looked' happy to
me; whether they were truly happy was another
matter. When we think that there is a link between
money and our happiness we are forgetting that we
create our reality. It would be more beneficial for us to
discover why we are unhappy than to look for ways to
create more money.
If we are not happy with our current reality, having
money will not change our situation. We may worry less
about money, but the reasons for our unhappiness will
still be with us. There is no link between money and
happiness unless we create one. But if we focus on
creating happiness in our lives, including being grateful
for our experiences, then abundance follows, which can
include money and everything else that we desire. If
you are currently unhappy, don't ask for money.
Remember who is in control of your reality and instead,
focus on creating joy in your life and then happiness
(and money) will be a permanent part of your reality.

Listen to Your Intuition
I had taken my children skiing and we were driving back
to the hotel. It was dark and the winding mountain
road was very steep in places. I found myself behind a
slow-moving tractor trailer truck that I started to
overtake. Suddenly I heard a voice say 'Do not pass
this truck'. So I slowed down and stayed in the left
lane next to the truck. But the truck was moving very
slowly up the steep grade so I started to pass it again.
And again, I heard the voice telling me to not pass the
truck. My car was now nearly even with the cab.
Suddenly I heard a loud noise and saw something fly
across the road, in front of my car. The truck and I
both stopped on the side of the road. I walked back to
the truck to see what had happened. The driver told
me he had hit a deer and then looked at me and said 'It
was a good thing you didn't pass me. If that deer had
hit your car you would probably be dead.' The deer had
done considerable damage to the truck, including
knocking out its front grill and headlights. My car, being
much smaller, would have probably been destroyed. My
children and I were safe because I listened to my
intuition and did not pass the truck.
Our intuition is our inner voice whose purpose is to
guide us, sometimes to warn us, and give us
information that we need on our spiritual path. We can
listen to our intuition, or not. Sometimes what our
intuition tells us does not make much sense or does not
seem to apply to the situation. Sometimes it even tells
us things that we do not want to hear, so we ignore it.
But if we trust that whatever it tells us is something
that we need to pay attention to, we will be able to
pause long enough to consider its messages. And they
can provide us with the information we need to make a
choice or decision.
We always have help with our spiritual journey,
whether we are aware of it or not. Sometimes our
intuition speaks to us directly, sometimes we get
messages from other people or even from things we see
in passing. The purpose of these messages is to
provide us with information that we need in response to
a conscious (or unconscious) request for help. Or in my
case, it was to prevent me from having a serious and
potentially fatal accident. Is your intuition providing
you with messages? Are you listening? Do they make
sense or are they something you simply do not want to
hear? When we ask for guidance we always receive a
response. What we do with the message is our choice
but if we listen, it could provide us with helpful
information that can make our journey much easier.

Uriel's Message-God Waits For You
Whatever is going on in your life that is not working as
you wish, whatever lack exists in your reality, anything
that is not bringing you joy is not God's fault. And you
can ask the Source to help you, solve your problems
and send you blessings, and you will feel like change is
not happening because changing your life is not God's
responsibility; it is yours. You already have everything
that you could possibly want; it is yours by divine right
as a child of God. You can receive only that which you
can acknowledge and connect with. And God waits for
you to acknowledge your own power and recognize and
accept your blessings.
It is not the Source's way to withhold blessings or to
make you suffer. All good things come from God but
they manifest through you and are the result of your
ability to act powerfully. The Universe works through
you and with you and cannot create something in your
reality that you have not already asked for. Your
wishes are not daydreams or idle thoughts; they
represent the desires of your heart. Whatever you wish
for is what is possible for you and can be part of your
reality. And once you are ready to accept your
blessings heaven and earth will move to help you
manifest them. But God waits for you to begin that
process.
Everything in your reality is a reflection of your spiritual
power on the material plane. When your reality seems
to spin out of control it is not because God has
abandoned or forgotten you, it is because you have
forgotten who you are. Your true power lies in
remembering that you are and have always been in
control of your reality. When you live powerfully you
are connected with the Universe and everything is
possible for you. When you feel powerless it is because
you are not living life through your connection to the
Source and are not using your power. There are no
victims from God's perspective, only those who have
forgotten who they are.
It is your destiny to create abundance doing meaningful
work that you are passionate about. It is your destiny
to have loving, fulfilling relationships. It is your destiny
to have your every desire fulfilled on every level. You
are never a victim, you are always in control. There is
no mystery to manifesting what you want because that
is what you are capable of and came here to do. When
you work with the Universe you can do great things.
But God waits for you to acknowledge your power and
until you do, will wait patiently for you.

Today's Children--What's Up With Indigo Men?
Many women write to me about their problems with the
men in their lives, many of whom are Indigos. These are
the early adult Indigos, men who are in their 40s and
50s. According to the women I hear from, these men
can be very romantic and passionate and then run from
commitment. Or they can be the opposite, not at all
interested in relationships and happy to be alone. The
women that are left behind in these relationships do
not understand how it could have had so much
potential and then suddenly fail. And those who date
men who simply want to be alone can't understand why
they are unable to connect with them on any intimate
level.
Indigo men are having a hard time adjusting to the
current energy and they are often unable to express
their feelings, mainly because they do not understand
them themselves. Many are going through an identity
crisis, especially those who had counted on having a
lifetime career and find themselves either without work
or working for several companies in succession. They
still carry the energy of identifying with their work and
this is very difficult for them. Others are fighting the
need to do work that they are passionate about
instead of just earning a paycheck. Most of them fear
change and in relationships, they have a strong fear of
having someone depend on them when they don't feel
they can depend on themselves.
The Indigo energy is all about personal freedom and
this can be carried to an extreme, leading men (I'll
speak about women next week) to stay away from or
even leave any kind of relationship that restricts their
freedom. These are very complicated feelings and
Indigos have complicated energy, so there is no logical
reason for some of their actions. The true reason
behind their actions is the feeling that they just want
to be at a place where they are satisfied with their life.
Many men were raised by fathers who worked hard,
were not around much and were often emotionally
unavailable. So they never learned how to express
their feelings and when they get overwhelmed they
simply shut down.
Indigo men are the bridge for the changing energy and
they have a difficult task as they learn to reconnect to
their emotions and to experience life from a heart level,
instead of simply through their mind connection. As
with all Indigos, being a pioneer is difficult because
they are the way-showers, those who will create the
new pathways for others. There is no one to show
them 'how' to do things so they often do nothing
instead of simply experiencing the energy. They will
struggle until they find their comfort zone and learn to
deal with this energy. So if you are dealing with an
Indigo man, be patient. They have their own issues at
this time and they will eventually figure out where they
are comfortable. They are in unfamiliar territory and
most are doing the best that they can.
