This week's messages
Why Is It Up to Me?
As the eldest of three children, my mother was always
telling me that I had to be more accommodating of my
siblings, to let them go first, to be more tolerant with
them because I was older and 'knew better.' I never
liked it when she said that but usually did what she
asked. Now that I am older, I understand that when we
are capable of greater understanding, other things are
expected of us. And that is true of forgiveness. We
may ask ourselves why we have to be the one to
forgive, especially if it's the other person who hurt us.
But because we know more and have greater spiritual
understanding, forgiveness is up to us.
The knowledge that we have about our ability to create
miracles and define our reality is a great gift that
carries with it great responsibility. When we work with
this power we walk in between the two worlds, material
and spiritual, with a foot in each. Unless we choose it,
we no longer have to be a victim, to be in fear, to
tolerate disrespect or dishonor from others. But while
we can create that in our reality, we must be willing to
extend it to others. And if we want the rewards that
come from living a spiritual life, then we must be willing
to live by spiritual law.
Each person who creates disharmony in our lives is
merely participating in our lessons and they are players
or actors in the script that we have written. It is big
leap of faith to acknowledge that we orchestrated the
most difficult and painful situations in our lives for our
own soul's growth, but we did. When we forgive others
we release ourselves, and them, from the karma that
keeps us enmeshed in lifetimes of difficult experiences.
But more than that, we acknowledge our responsibility
for the course of our lives and we extend to everyone
the unconditional love that we step into when we
reconnect with our Source.
Embracing our spiritual power and utilizing it for our
Highest Good also means that we must 'walk our talk.'
If we are on a spiritual path then we must be spiritual
in all areas of our lives and be willing to continuously
forgive others and ourselves. Forgiveness changes the
tone of our relationships with others and introduces
unconditional love. And that means love, without
condition-without anger, fear, hurt, regret or memory
of hurtful situations. Forgiveness is up to us because
we have chosen to walk the spiritual path. As we
practice forgiveness, we set ourselves and others free
to make different choices, to live a life free of karma
and to experience true joy, peace and unconditional
love. Each act of forgiveness that we extend to
someone reverberates throughout the Universe and
raises the vibrations of the planet. This week, begin a
forgiveness exercise with someone in your life. Take
your time, this is not something that is accomplished in
an hour. Set your intention, write your letter and
release them and yourself with joy knowing that you
have participated in the raising of humanity's
consciousness.

Blessings to you all!
The October article is posted on the Uriel Heals
website and this month's message is about Forgiveness.
Forgiveness is the key to raising our consciousness and
experiencing the Shift energy. We heal our karma with
others when we forgive them. But why do we have to
be the ones to forgive, especially if we are the one who
suffered? Read more in this week's article. The topic of
this week's Today's Children article looks at adult
Indigos and justifying our existence. Adult Indigos were
raised to be 'model' citizens and to justify their
existence through what they do and have. But that has
all changed... Uriel's message this week is about living
in trust.

The Secret Destination
Imagine that someone calls you and tells you that you
are going on a trip. There will be a ticket waiting for
you at the airport but the destination is a surprise. How
exciting. Would you be willing to go? Now it gets
interesting. Once you reach the destination, you will
not have a map, car or guide provided for you, you will
have to figure those things out by yourself. And, it will
probably be in a country whose language you do not
speak and the people there won't speak your language
either. Are you still willing to go? Has some of the
excitement worn off and been replaced by fear and
trepidation? Do you think you're up to it?
The journey that many of us are taking at this time is a
journey of faith-we don't know where we're going,
what will happen when we get there and how we will
manage. But when we make a choice to take our lives
on a different path, we have begun a journey with a
secret destination. Sometimes we will head in one
direction, only to be taken on a different path. At times
we will feel like we're turning in circles and at others,
hopelessly lost. When we remove the familiar markers,
representing the paths and directions that we have
taken in the past, we are truly standing in unfamiliar
territory.
I have a friend who travels extensively and her staff
handles all of her travel arrangements. She is handed a
ticket and goes to the airport where she boards a plane
for her destination. When she gets there, there is a car
waiting to pick her up, the hotel is booked and her
itinerary is set. I once asked her whether she was ever
afraid that she would reach her destination and find
herself alone, without transportation or a place to stay.
She said no, that she trusted her staff to do their jobs
as they were supposed to.
We do not have to make this journey alone and while
we may not have a map or know where we are going,
we have the guidance of our angels and spirit guides to
ensure that we continue to move forward. That is their
job and they do it as they are supposed to. As we
know, we are aware of their guidance when we are out
of a place of fear, when we trust that we will be
provided for in every way. The means may not always
be obvious to us, but they will be there. As we set out
on our journey towards our secret destination we must
trust that our staff, our guides and angels, know what
they are doing. And that we, when we are guided by
our Higher Self, know that we are doing. The final
destination of our journey may be unknown to us now,
but that does not mean that the journey has to be
difficult. As you find yourself heading to your secret
destination, know that the plans have been made, the
itinerary set and all you have to do is take the first
step, the Universe will provide the rest.

Uriel's Message--Living in Trust
Trusting that you will be provided for is one of the
lessons of the Shift and yet, for many of you, despite
your trust, this path has not been easy. You may feel
that your trust has not been rewarded, that your needs
have not been met and that your spiritual journey is
much more difficult than that of someone who is not on
the spiritual path. Yes, the Universe does provide and
your trust is abundantly rewarded but you must act
with trust, not wait in trust. Trust requires that you
act on opportunities and situations that are provided to
you, no matter how illogical or unfamiliar they may be.
Having trust but being unable to take a step in any
direction merely shows a lack of trust.
The difficult steps on your journey are not there to test
your resolve, your faith or your courage. They are the
necessary steps on your path to wholeness. No matter
how difficult the situation, if you trust that you know
what you are doing and are on the right path, the
answers that you seek will always be provided to you.
But when you give up or lose faith, you also lose the
connection to the trust that you need to take you to
the next step. And as you lose trust in yourself and in
the Universe, you also lose the ability to move forward,
so you remain stuck in the same place because it is
your willingness to trust in the perfection and potential
of each moment that provides you with the next
opportunity.
There is a belief that a spiritual path does not require
the same effort and motivation as a non-spiritual path.
That is simply not true. What are your motivations for
your spiritual journey? Do you want joy and peace in
your life? Do you want to be a teacher or healer? Do
you want to help others? You must know these things
before you can trust that the Universe will meet your
needs because your needs and intention create the
form that will satisfy them. Trusting that the Universe
will provide and then not taking any action, even
something as simple as stating your intention, will not
generate any results.
You can trust that the Universe will meet your needs
but it can only meet those needs that you are willing to
stand for, work towards and then follow each
opportunity that presents itself to you. Do not trust
that the Universe will provide if you do nothing.
Instead, trust that the Universe will provide and will
also guide your steps along the path of your intention.
Your spiritual journey may not always appear smooth,
but when you trust that what you pray for will be given
to you in the most perfect way and that you are
always guided on your journey, your trust will be
abundantly rewarded. This week, clearly state your
intention for your spiritual journey, then trust that
those intentions will manifest for you. Follow each
opportunity that is provided to you and trust that all is
in perfection. Then watch the miracles unfold in your
life as you trust that you are on the right path, doing
the right things and that your journey in trust is
abundantly rewarded.

Adult Indigos and Justifying Our Existence
There is a new generation of children in the world and
they are known by many names, including Indigo and
Crystal Children, Star Children, Light Children. Whatever
name they are known by, they are a generation that
we have never seen before and they have special
needs, gifts and talents. The Crystal and Indigo
children represent the new, higher energetic patterns
that are arriving to change the Earth's vibrational
frequency. This new series provides information on
these children and the wonderful gifts they bring to the
world.
The Adult Indigos that I am writing about are the ones
who are currently in their forties and fifties. These are
the late baby boomers, the ones who were born post
World War II and by parents who had experienced the
war and depression, either as adults or children. One
thing that marks this generation is that they were
taught that they had to get an education and a good
job so that they could have a respectable life. Many of
their parents worked hard to send their children to
college and everyone wanted their child to be a doctor
or a lawyer. The theme for them was to be a
respectable person that others admired and justify their
existence through their social respectability, meaning
their value is determined by what they do and have.
Many adult Indigos tried to do that, working hard at
their jobs and saving their money, only to go through a
long period of cyclical unemployment and financial
difficulties. Now many adult Indigos find themselves
either without jobs or in careers that they did not plan
for. This has been hard on their wallets, but harder on
their egos and they have to re-examine their reasons
for working hard, often at jobs or careers that they did
not like, or 'playing the game' of respectability that
they did not believe in. For many, they have decided to
stop fighting and to do what they want to do with their
lives and realize that they have gifts and talents to
share with the world that may not be admired or valued
by others, but are important nonetheless.
There is still some pressure to justify our existence that
has reappeared in the past ten years. While there are
people who will play that game, the adult Indigos have
decided that they don't need a fancy title, money or
degree to justify their existence. Whether they made
that decision willingly (by changing their career path) or
unwillingly (through layoffs and unemployment), it is
part of their nature to go against the flow of popular
thinking and they had to experience this so that they
could give their own children the freedom to do and be
what comes naturally to them, instead of justifying
their existence through what they do. It has not been
easy but adult Indigos are beginning to awaken to who
they are and to have the courage to walk away from
situations that no longer serve or satisfy them. If you
are an adult Indigo and you feel this way, know that it
is just the awakening process that you are going
through. Try to not get stuck in the 'I hate where I am
right now' feelings. Instead, use it as a period to
discover what you really want for your life, then go
after it. You have many gifts and talents, a drive for
success and passion for what you believe in. These are
your strengths; use them to create what you want and
share your gifts with the world.
