The Price of Spirituality
Are you familiar with expressions such as 'no pain, no
gain' or 'if it doesn't kill you it makes you stronger'? We
can say those words with a knowing laugh because we
know that most of our learning comes through painful
processes. In fact, we often don't believe that we
have learned a lesson if there was not some kind of
painful component attached to it. If we truly believe
that, then we are deliberately attracting painful lessons
to ourselves because we believe that pain is the price
we must pay for our spiritual growth and learning. We
can learn a great deal, in fact more than we ever have,
without painful lessons, by changing what we believe
about the price of our spiritual growth.
When we believe that our learning has a painful
component attached to it, we create that for
ourselves. Remember that we are responsible for what
is in our reality and everything that we attract is simply
a mirror of our beliefs. If we change our beliefs, painful
experiences become not only unnecessary but also
avoidable. And no one ever said that spiritual learning
had to be painful.
What we do when we attract painful situations is delay
our spiritual growth and even make it more difficult for
ourselves. Think back on your most recent painful
experience from which you learned a lesson. Did you
know, at some early point, that something was not
right? Did you feel that 'no' was an option but were not
able to take it? Did you even consider other,
alternative options to the painful one? Maybe not, but
they were there and you are free to choose whatever
options you want for your spiritual learning, including
those that are not painful.
The Shift has brought us so many different possibilities
in the way we think, believe and live. One of those
options is to remove the belief that the price of
spiritual learning is great pain and difficulty. We can
accomplish our spiritual learning in any way we want; in
fact, it is when we have moved forward on our spiritual
path that other, painless options are available to us.
We will learn just as much and even more quickly, when
we choose the painless options and free ourselves from
trudging through difficulty to arrive at our destination.
The destination, our spiritual evolution, is the same
whether we choose the path with the painful price or
the easy, painless path. The choice is ours.

The Real Truth
Whatever we believe about a person or situation is the
truth as we know it. We are aware of the reality that
we choose to see. Even in our closest relationships, our
version or understanding of the truth will be different
from some else's, as each of us sees the world through
our own eyes. When what we believe to be the truth
creates problems for us, it is because we have an
emotional attachment to what we want to be true and
there is a conflict with what 'is'. It is the difference
between 'our truth' and the 'real truth'. Being willing to
see the 'real' truth can make the difference between
joy and pain, abundance and lack, and peace and
chaos in our lives.
What is the 'real' truth and how does it differ from what
we see as the truth? Our truth allows us to stay in a
painful relationship, believing that our love will change
someone's behavior or beliefs. The 'real truth' in this
situation is acknowledging that they have their own
truth about their reality and they may not want to
change. Our truth allows us to believe that we are not
worthy or cannot create the reality of our dreams;
the 'real truth' is that we can do, be and have
whatever we desire. Wherever there is conflict in our
lives, it is because there is conflict between our truth
and the 'real truth'. And the conflict can be resolved by
determining what kind of emotional investment we have
in proving our truth to be real.
Any place in our lives where we struggle is an example
of our not facing the 'real truth'. If we struggle in our
job, is it possible that we need to be somewhere else?
If we struggle with our partner, is it possible that we
need to be without this person? If we are in conflict
with any part of our lives, it is the Universe pointing
the truth to us. Are we paying attention? We may
continue to struggle and the Universe will continue to
point out the truth until we stop struggling and let
ourselves see the truth. I can almost hear the Universe
breathing a sigh of relief as we step out of trying to
prove that we know the truth and allow it to be
revealed to us.
Life can be as easy or as difficult as we choose to
make it. The truth hurts only when we refuse to
acknowledge the 'real truth' because when we struggle
with any aspect of our lives, we have a strong
emotional investment in being right and proving our
truth. The fact that we are struggling should be a sign
to us that something is wrong. Can we release
ourselves from our attachment to the outcome that we
want to happen and let the 'real truth' reveal itself? It
always does, whether we want it or not, and then we
must reconcile our truth to it. But once we do, our lives
can be free from conflict and only those things that are
in our Highest Good will be part of our reality and we
will be in alignment with the 'real truth'.

Uriel's Message-Claim your Wings
Each of you remembers a time when you had wings,
when you were free to do and to be whatever you
wanted, when life was effortless and when you lived
beyond the veil between the material and spiritual
worlds. The source of humanity's sorrow and pain lies in
the fact that they have forgotten that they have
wings that will carry them beyond suffering and into
the realm where heaven and earth are one. You did not
come here to suffer, but to remember that you have
wings.
Each of you is a divine being that has agreed to come
here to learn to rise past eons of emotions,
attachments and fear and to learn to reconnect to the
Source, both individually and as a human family. Each
of you carries with you the memory of your wings and
the unconditional love which created you and whose
energy you carry. Many of you have forgotten this
truth and see yourselves as powerless and a long way
from home, freedom and joy. But your wings are always
there, waiting for you to claim them.
Some believe that it is through suffering that you will
reclaim your wings and when your physical body dies
you will go home to reconnect with your spiritual body
and once again put on your wings. But that is not why
you came here, to suffer, die and then receive a
reward for your suffering. You came here to remember
who you are and to manifest that vibration and by
remembering, you bring the hope of heaven on earth
for yourselves and for all of humanity. Your wings are
part of your spiritual self and when you claim them you
reconnect body, mind and spirit so that there is no
separation between humanity and the Source. You
have worked very hard to enable this to happen and
now it can.
Your spiritual journey is much easier when you claim
your wings, remembering who you are and why you
agreed to undertake your journey here. By claiming
your wings you reconnect with your divinity and power
that is far greater than any in the material world. The
path is simple and only requires that you are willing to
stand in your power. Claim your wings so that you can
enjoy the beauty and abundance that life has to offer.
Claim your wings and bring freedom and joy you're your
life. Claim your wings and remember who you are so
that you can fulfill the task of bringing heaven on
earth.

Today's Children--Lies or Bent Truth?
I have received a number of questions from parents of
Indigos surrounding the issue of why Indigos demand
the truth from us and don't appear to place the same
standard on themselves. They can demand that we tell
them the truth but they often lie to us. Sometimes
these lies are simple and they know that we don't
believe them. Sometimes the lies are more complex and
represent a more serious issue. From my experience
with Indigos and Crystals, I have seen distinct
differences in the way they 'bend the truth' and it has
to do with how they see the world and their place in it.
I believe that Indigos tell lies for two reasons. First,
because they hope that by lying they will avoid the
truth (and its consequences). The other is that they
see the lie as a way for them to buy time while they
work at changing or altering what they have done. By
lying, they believe that they will convince us of what
they hope to accomplish. What they do not understand
is that when they persist in not telling the truth, they
lose our trust and they create a habit that is hard to
break. I do not believe that they do it maliciously, they
just find themselves in situations that they can't easily
resolve and then tell one lie after another, doing
damage control while they try to fix whatever they
have done.
Crystal children bend the truth as well, but for different
reasons. Crystals have a way of seeing the world in
their own way and then creating a story that fits their
vision. This is a kind of 'wishful thinking' lying. They
may also remember past lives and tell stories from what
they remember. We may think they're lying but they
are actually telling the truth about something that
happened, but in another lifetime. With both Indigos
and Crystals, living in the present moment is difficult
and they view lying, or not telling the truth, as an
acceptable alternative to dealing with reality. As their
parents we must learn how to sift through
the 'distortions' to arrive at the truth.
Teaching them how to tell the truth is different for
Indigos and Crystals, because they lie for different
reasons. With Crystals, we can remind them that they
are living here, in this lifetime and that they can work
towards the reality they want to be in but must be
honest about what happened in the present moment.
With Indigos, we can remind them of the consequences
of dishonesty and teach them how to deal with their
reality more effectively. Once they are aware that we
know they are not telling the truth and make them
admit it, they will be less likely to lie. They may even
stop lying over time. I do not believe that there is a
strong distinction between truth and lying with these
generations, so we cannot use the same criteria to
judge their behavior as our parents did with us. We just
have to realize that they often live in their own reality
and it does not always coincide with the truth as we
know it, or what really happened.
