From Love to Joy
We can spend our entire lifetime trying to understand
the process of love by looking for someone to love us.
Like the song, we can look for it in 'all the wrong
places' because we will seek it from our outside
world. This search can result in one disappointment
after another until we realize that the love we seek
must exist within us before it can be manifested in our
outer reality. But is it love we are really looking for, or
the feeling of peace, acceptance, and happiness that
being loved and in love brings to us? Instead of love,
are we really looking for joy?
While we tend to link love with romance, the love that
we are learning about as we move through the
process of love is not romantic at all. It is
unconditional love and when we are connected to it
we are always valued, accepted and appreciated for
everything that we are. When we have those things,
which we often feel when we are 'in love' with
someone, our life is wonderful and we feel connected.
But again, we are operating from our outer reality
which is why when our romantic partnerships fail we
immediately feel disconnected, out of joy and unloved.
Being in love with someone makes us happy and
creates joy in our lives. Unfortunately, that may only
last as long as the relationship does because we are
looking for love outside ourselves. The process of love
begins within us and when we are working within
unconditional love our ability to be or feel loved is not
dependent on whether someone else loves us. That
feeling of joy that we know when we are loved by and
in love with someone is always present. Can we
imagine a state of being where we are always in love
and in joy?
The process of love is an integral part of our spiritual
journey. When we can learn to accept the
unconditional love that we have from our Creator we
can also learn to love ourselves. Then we are in the
flow of love and in the same energy that allows us to
have infinite abundance, boundless prosperity,
unlimited joy and peace. And every other kind of love,
including fulfilling romantic relationships. This is
where heaven meets earth, where the spiritual and
material worlds are joined. It is where the veil is lifted
and we see ourselves with the same love and
acceptance that our Creator does and we have
learned the most important lesson that we came here
to learn and spread that energy to all of humanity.

Appreciating Others' Success
Lately many people around me have been sharing
their news of promotions, new jobs, lucrative
contracts, or a positive life change. Some of these
people are being rewarded for years of hard work, for
others, these events are wonderful surprises. Some
people have been on a spiritual journey for many
years; others are not spiritual at all. I am very happy for
their success and know they are being rewarded for
their hard work and faith. I know that this is a sign to
me that my own dreams are being fulfilled too.
But I could view their success another way, by
wondering when it was my turn, whether the Universe
had forgotten my dreams and by being jealous of
those who were receiving things that they had asked
for (and sometimes not asked for). And for those who
are not spiritual, wondering why they are being
blessed when they are not even concerned with their
spirituality or do not seem to be on any kind of spiritual
path (even though everyone is).
It is not always easy to be gracious and appreciative of
others' success when we are wondering when our
own 'ship will come in'. Why do we have to work hard,
have faith and then wait for our rewards? But what
others receive has nothing to do with our own dreams
being fulfilled. There is always enough for everyone.
We cannot know what is in someone else's spiritual
contract or why they are rewarded. That is between
them and their Creator.
One of our challenges is to understand the concept of
how vast the universe is. There is no end or beginning
to this energy, no way to measure or quantify it. When
others receive and it appears that we do not, we can
either take it as a sign that our blessings are on their
way or be jealous of others' success. When we
appreciate others' success we create new pathways
for our own to arrive. When we are jealous we block
the energy that could be flowing to us by being in
judgment. If others around you are being blessed,
appreciate their blessings and know that yours are
arriving. Be thankful that there is more than enough for
everyone and remember that your wishes are always
heard, acted on and are on their way to you.

Uriel's Message-- Making Right Decisions
There are no 'right' or 'wrong' decisions that can be
made. Judging your decisions is a material process
that the Universe does not participate in, except to
respond to your judgments. To the Universe you are
always powerful so each decision or choice that you
make is right, correct and the best one that can be
made. Your choices are not judged by whether they
are right or wrong, but by the level of power you use to
make them.
You are at your most powerful when you remember
that you are a child of the Creator, a spiritual being
who is always loved unconditionally. When you forget
these things you step into fear, an energy that you
have come here to experience so that you can
transmute it for yourself and for all of humanity. You
are presented with opportunities to make different
decisions so that you can remember who you are and
be powerful. When you forget your power the
decisions you make do not bring you peace, joy and
abundance. This is not because they are 'wrong', it is
because they are made in fear.
Judging your decisions as right or wrong only serves
to remind you that you are imperfect and powerless.
Knowing that you make decisions from the level of
power that you are willing to accept can alter your
opinion from one of judgment to one of
acknowledging how much fear contributes to the
process. Each decision is right for you at the time it is
made. Its result is a reflection of your faith and trust.
When you consider your decisions and their results
remember your mindset at the time. Were you
confident and feeling powerful? Were you in fear? Did
you trust your judgment and know that you were
making a decision that you thought was in your
Highest Good at that time? Decisions and choices
can always be changed once you are willing to trust
and step into your power. Remember that the
Universe responds to you and to your willingness to
be the powerful person that you are. The result is
neither right nor wrong, it simply reflects what you
allow yourself to receive and your ability to be the
powerful, divine being that you are.

Today's Children--Changing the Indigo Mind
At its best, Indigo energy is confident, capable and
self-assured. At its worst it is self-critical, incapable
and completely inept. I often wonder how my Indigo
children, who can have such great ideas and be so
positive about their potential can suddenly turn into
people who can't get out of bed, much less take the
first step towards realizing their dreams. This is true of
adult Indigos (those who are currently in their 40s and
50s) and the young Indigos, who are currently in their
teens and early adult years. What can we do to
change their minds?
Once an Indigo has decided that they can't do
something there is not much that will change their
mind. They have convinced themselves that whatever
they want to do is not possible and that is all there is
to it. But they do keep a small spark of hope alive and
that is what we must connect to. The problem is that
they often see the big picture and then get lost in the
details. Remember that they are not process oriented
so their follow through skills are not the best. Taking a
task apart and allowing them to work on one thing at a
time is important. Each small success will help them
realize that they can reach their goals. Making their
goals small, measurable and attainable is critical.
For example, when my Indigo children had homework
to do, they would look at all of their books, panic and
then go and do something else. If I put one book on
the table and helped them, then got out the next book
when they were finished with the previous one, the
homework was done quickly. With adult Indigos, the
process is the same. They also see the big picture,
the many steps it will take to reach a goal and then
lose their initiative. Working on the task one step at a
time will change their mindset from 'it can't be done'
to 'I can do this'.
Indigos have a big task and they do have what it takes
to complete it. But they are also impatient and the
process has taken a long time. They know the world
isn't quite ready for them and they feel that they have
failed before they have had a real chance to begin.
Changing their minds about what they can do is
possible when their tasks are presented to them in
small, manageable ways. This is true of all Indigos.
Building their confidence is a step-by-step process
that may take time but once it is done, they will be
ready to take on anything that is put in their path.
