Who is in the Mirror?
The process of love is the foundation of our spiritual
journey, which is all about reconnecting to the
unconditional love that we were created from. While it
may seem easy to go back to what we once were, it
can be the most difficult thing that we can do. The
Universe graciously shows us where we do not love
ourselves by bringing us people and situations that
show us where we are out of love with ourselves. But
until we can remember who is in the mirror we can
miss out on some very valuable learning experiences.
Every aspect of our reality reflects where we are in the
process of love back to us. Whatever is out of balance,
not flowing smoothly or simply too hard is a reflection
of where we must learn to love ourselves more and
get back on the path of unconditional love. By
detaching from the illusions, or 'what' is happening
and being the observer we can very quickly learn
where we need to make changes to create a different
reality.
The mirror of our reality shows us the truth of where
we are on our spiritual journey. It is a truth that we may
not always want to see or believe. After all, who wants
to know that they do not honor, respect or love
themselves? We want other people to be that for us,
instead of changing what we are doing. But the mirror
never shows us less than the truth and the choices
that we make will always be reflected back to us.
We can use that information contained in the reality
that is mirrored to us to make changes in how we love
ourselves. As with any Universal principle, the
process of love is very direct. We are either on the path
of unconditional love or not. If we are not, we will not
have love mirrored back to us. If we are, our reality will
flow smoothly and our lives will be filled with peace,
joy and unconditional love. This week, be the observer
in your reality. Look at any situation that does not bring
you joy and consider how it could be reflecting where
you are in the process of love. Use it as a source of
information to determine where you need to make
changes so that your life flows with unconditional love
and your heart's desires are mirrored in every aspect
of your reality.

spend much of our lives seeking it. Once we
understand the process of love we can create it in our
lives. We make this easier for ourselves when we

When You Are the Student
As Lightworkers we came to be teachers of others but
we are also here to learn our own lessons so there
will be times when we are students, when we are the
ones who have to struggle with issues and what we
must learn from them. At other times we will be both
student and teacher in a situation, where we will both
teach and learn from the experience. As our spiritual
journey unfolds the lessons become easier but they
never really go away because we have as much to
learn as we do to teach. When we are students we
allow others to teach us and can fulfill our journey on
many levels.
Even the great spiritual masters spent time as
students, learning their lessons through their
experiences with others. If we work hard towards
mastering our spirituality so that we no longer have to
learn lessons, we are going against the purpose of
our spiritual journey. Each of us is here to learn and
our willingness to do so allows us to ascend to higher
levels. If we believe that we will arrive at a point where
that is no longer necessary, we are forgetting our
primary reason for being here-to learn our lessons
so that we can share the information with others.
It is when we believe that we have learned it all that
someone comes into our life to teach us something.
They may betray or hurt us, not meet our needs or let
us down in some way. Now we are the student, with
an opportunity to master another aspect of our
spiritual journey. It is not a trick or the Universe
reminding us of our imperfections. It is simply another
learning experience that we have an opportunity to
master so that we can pass the knowledge along to
someone else.
We must learn before we can teach and it often
appears that we have been through the doctoral
program in life lessons. But in order to be a good
teacher we must also be a good student and so the
lessons will continue. They become easier as we
learn detachment and see the situations for what they
are, opportunities to master another aspect of our
journey. Each time we are provided with an opportunity
to be a student we are being prepared for another
teaching experience where we will share what we
have learned with others. Every experience has a
lesson and a blessing, an opportunity to move closer
to bringing heaven on earth for ourselves and helping
others learn that process.

Uriel's Message-- The Power of Silence
You are at your most powerful when you are quiet,
watchful and waiting for things to unfold. It is when you
are silent that you are expressing your faith and trust
in the Universe and in yourself. Your words and
thoughts are powerful but your ability to be silent is
equally powerful. Whether you are expressing a desire
or speaking to another person, when the results do
not come immediately you are not acting more
powerfully when you continue to ask and insist.
Miracles manifest in the silence of your faith and trust.
When you are in a state of constant dialogue, either
within yourself or with others, you are expressing your
fear and doubt. You are also not able to hear the
messages of your guides and angels because they
speak to you from your silence. The mind will provide
you with many reasons why you are powerless and
ineffective. Being able to silence these thoughts and
be quietly faithful and trusting is the only way to realize
the fullness of your power.
The space in which you can be silent is the place
where you connect to the unconditional love and
abundance of the Universe. In this space you know
that your needs are always met and that you are loved
unconditionally. When you cannot be comfortable in
the silence you are out of the space of faith and trust.
When you can be silent, not asking or reminding the
Universe of what you asked for, not impatient or
demanding, you strengthen your Source connection.
The space of silence is also the space of gratitude
because you know that you already have your heart's
desires and as you accept your power you can choose
other things. The promise of unconditional love and
unlimited abundance in all good things is always
there for you and it manifests when you can be silent,
allowing your faith and trust to speak for you. This
week, practice being in silence. When doubt and fear
are present remember that your requests have been
heard and are being acted upon. They are on their way
to you and you can show your faith and trust by being
silent, waiting and watching for your miracles to
appear.

Today's Children--Meeting their Emotional Needs
One thing that my Indigo and Crystal children know
without question is that I am very aware of their need
for emotional security and will do my best to ensure
that their emotional needs are met. That is very
different from what I experienced with my parents and
it is true of most adult Indigos. We had parents who
did not meet our emotional needs and were often
completely unaware of them. Because we appeared
to be independent they assumed that we didn't have
any so they ignored them. Although this was difficult, it
prepared us to parent today's Indigo generation so
our children would not feel the same way we did.
Many of the Indigo adults from my generation
(currently in their 40s and 50s) do not relate well with
their parents on an emotional level. I recently tried to
initiate that conversation with my mother and after a
short, uncomfortable exchange I just dropped the
subject. My mother did say that she thought I was so
independent that I could take care of myself and she
focused on the other children in the family. And she
was from a generation of parents who did not think
about those things. What that experience did was
make me aware of the need to parent my children
differently and to ensure that I was aware of their
emotional needs.
Indigos can act like they don't need us but it is just an
act. They are actually very emotionally dependent and
want us to be aware of those needs and address
them appropriately. Of course we have to work around
their other issues but they know, even if they don't say
it, that we will be there for them. And most of us can do
that because we remember what it felt like to be
without emotional support. But we learned those skills
through our experience and I believe that it was just
another way that we were being prepared for the
children that we would bring into the world.
Whether your parents were emotionally neglectful or
downright abusive, you were learning what you
needed to know to be the type of parent that your
Indigo and Crystal children would need. It was all part
of the process of preparing us to provide for the next
generation's emotional needs. The only thing you can
do is forgive your parents for being who they were and
support your children emotionally in the way you never
received as a child. They will benefit from the support
and attention they receive from you and will use those
skills to enhance their own parenting experience with
their children.
