This week's messages
Assuming the Worst or the Best?
Much of our reality is based on what we have assume
to be true about life and ourselves. Some of those
assumptions can be inherited, based on what we have
learned and heard from others and even what we have
seen happen in others' lives. Our life experiences can
lead us to learn to assume that the worst will happen,
no matter what we do. Can we learn to assume the
best?
Each life experience that we have adds another
chapter to our internal library of assumptions. When
our experiences are pleasant, we create positive
assumptions about the future. But if our experiences
are not pleasant, we create a negative assumption
about that experience, and more. Our mind, in its
continuous efforts to protect us from pain,
extrapolates that assumption to include everything that
remotely resembles that experience. So, for example,
an emotional rejection by a friend can lead us to
assume that we are unworthy of love from anyone. And
so we assume the worst in every relationship. And this
carries over to every part of our lives and we learn to
assume the worst about people and about ourselves.
The danger in assuming the worst is that our
assumptions will create that in our reality, even if it is
not what we want. We may take our worst assumptions
lightly by saying things like 'things always work out
badly for me' or 'I always get the worst of everything'
for certain situations and in the past that may have
been true. But if we continue to believe that, then we
are setting ourselves up for failure because our
assumptions will create that reality for us.
Our lesson about assumptions is to learn that they are
the product of our fears of getting hurt and instead of
protecting us, they create more of what we fear. How
do you assume the worst in your life? Do you assume
that others don't love you, don't care, you won't get
what you want or you will always be unhappy?
Assuming the worst will only create more of that in your
life. No matter what your past experiences were, it is
time for us all to learn to assume the best about every
aspect of our life so that we can create that. This
week, make a list of the areas of your life where you
assume the worst. Now, create a positive assumption
for each of those situations. Know that by assuming
the best you will create that in your reality and then
watch your reality reflect the very best that you can
assume for yourself.

Blessings to you all!
The August article is posted on the Uriel Heals website
and this month's message is entitled Living by
Assumption. How much of our life do we
assume, knowing that things will happen a certain way
because that is the way it has always been? Many of
our life experiences can lead us to assume the worst
about ourselves. Can we learn to assume the best?
Read more in this week's message. The topic of this
week's Today's Children article looks at the Harry Potter
stories and how they are helping adult and children
Indigos understand their gifts.

Taking Advice
We all have well-meaning people in our lives who give
us advice. Sometimes the advice is good and
sometimes it is a reflection of that person's own
unhappiness and it critical and judgmental. We always
have a choice regarding what we do with others'
advice. We can take it and alter our actions or thinking
to incorporate it into our lives, or we can ignore it and
use our own judgment and discernment to decide the
best course of action for ourselves. To do that, we
must remove our emotional attachment to others'
expectations, approval and acceptance. If what others
think of us is important to us, then we will allow our life
path to be dictated by what others tell us we should
do.
If we were unconcerned with what others thought
about us, their advice would not matter. But it often
does because we want others to approve of us, to be
nice to us and to accept us. So when they give us
advice we listen. If that advice centers around their
disapproval of what we do, who we associate with,
how we dress, our job or how we spend our time, we
take their advice to heart and change our activities
accordingly. What if they're right? But they can only be
right if we doubt our own actions and are attached to
their approval. What if they're wrong?
As we know, the more we need to learn something, the
more we will be provided with experiences to learn that
lesson. And so it is with advice. If we need approval,
then we will be surrounded by disapproving people who
shower us with their opinions about how we should be,
all of it focused on things that we are not currently
doing. Remember that we allow this to happen--we are
the architects of our reality and so this advice is there
to allow us to become more confident about our own
perfection, not to show us that we are imperfect.
But if we doubt our perfection, then we will run around
in circles, trying to accommodate the advice we
receive, trying to fit our reality around others'
expectations.
Taking advice from others is always our choice and we
should carefully examine both the advice and the
person giving it. Is it positive and affirming or is it
negative and critical? Does the person have an agenda
with us and is their advice given to force us to change
the way we do things or are they truly well-meaning,
having our best interests at hearat? Above all, how
does the advice feel to us-is it
positive and life-affirming or negative and critical? And,
we have to decide whose opinion about our life path is
more important, ours or someone else's. We cannot live
our lives according to someone else's expectations and
if we try, we will always be changing some aspect of
what we are doing, in an effort to please someone who
probably will never be happy with anything that we do.
When someone gives advice, look at it is as gift that
you can either accept or refuse, it is your choice.
Decide whether it is of benefit to you and then do what
you feel in your heart serves you best and is in your
highest Good. When we learn to ignore negative advice
and find confidence in our own inner perfection then we
will receive life-affirming, loving advice from people who
truly have our best interests at heart.

Uriel's Message
When you manifest change in your life, asking for
abundance, joy, peace and happiness, what is your
intention? Is your manifestation about having more than
others? If so, then you are manifesting from the ego
and not from the heart space. When you manifest from
the ego, everything that you ask for is more than you
need or based on what others have. If you do not
receive it, then you doubt your ability to manifest. But
if it comes from the heart space, it is a request that
can be supported by the Universe because it is in your
Highest Good and that of everyone, everywhere.
If you ask for peace and happiness, are you willing to
be happy if those things are also granted to others?
Since you are all connected, it stands to reason that
what one receives all must receive. If you ask for
abundance and financial security, are you able to wish
that for others as well? Can you ask for abundance in
your life knowing that you will receive in accordance
with your ability to receive and to the extent that your
soul growth allows it? Sometimes not receiving what
you ask for is your lesson and not a punishment. Often,
you must learn to appreciate what you have before you
can receive more and acknowledge that others may
appear to have more than you do, which is part of their
soul's growth.
The laws of the Universe are clear about manifestation-
you must ask for your own heart's desire and what you
ask for in your own life you must also be willing to ask
for others. And to be happy when they receive it, even
if you do not.
This is not a contest, a game to see who can have
more than others, although that is a temptation that
you face every day, as it is the paradigm that exists on
Earth at this time. Each receives according to her
ability to receive and to give, as balance must exist in
all things. For it is in receiving that you acknowledge
your power and in giving that you affirm your
connection to all. Your willingness to work with these
aspects of Universal energy, acknowledging that there
is a cosmic rhythm of receiving and giving, of taking in
and letting go is essential to the process of
manifestation.
When this process is out of balance, as it is in much of
the world today, it is because too many ask out of the
desires of the ego and thus are unwilling to give. The
Universe stands ready to honor your every desire and
grant your every wish, as long as your request comes
from the heart and you are willing to give in greater
measure than you receive. When you ask for anything,
remember to for others in addition to yourself so that
the power of your manifestation can be enjoyed by all.

Today's Children-Indigos and Harry Potter
The new article on today's children is now available on
the website. This generation is known by
many names, including Indigo and Crystal Children, Star
Children, Light Children. Whatever name they are known
by, they are a generation that we have never seen
before and they have special needs, gifts and talents.
The Crystal and Indigo children represent the new,
higher energetic patterns that are arriving to change
the Earth's vibrational frequency. This new series
provides information on these children and the
wonderful gifts they bring to the world.
The success of the Harry Potter books is legendary and
adults and children all over the world eagerly await
each new book, wondering what will happen to Harry
next. I knew that these books were special so I not
only bought the books for my children, I read them
aloud to them to ensure that they would read and
understand them. Even though my children were older
teenagers, they loved the stories (and our nightly
reading time together). Did they understand that the
Harry Potter stories have an important message for all
Indigos and that these are more than children's stories
about a young wizard and his adventures at school?
Isn't it interesting that this is one of the few children's
stories that is enjoyed equally by adults and children?
Harry Potter embodies many of the Indigo
characteristics, he's intuitive, knows the Truth and is
intolerant of untruth and injustice, sees people as they
are, he has many spiritual gifts and is just learning how
to use them. Also true to his Indigo nature, he can't
follow others' rules and do as he is told, he knows
where the problems in the 'system' exist and does his
best to change them and to make others aware of
them. And like the Indigos, he struggles through his
lessons, persevering with what he knows he has to do,
despite the obstacles thrown in his path. The beauty of
these stories is that so many children and adults are
reading and learning from them, even if they are not
aware that while reading about Harry's adventures,
they are obtaining a valuable education as to their own
spiritual nature.
Is it an accident that these books arrived at a time
when Indigos needed to learn who they were? Harry
Potter serves as a role model for many of them and the
books' popularity is evidence of how critical his
message is for adult and children Indigos all over the
world. It has come at a time when Indigos need a role
model, an example of who they are and what they can
do. And they have found that role model in Harry
Potter. If you have not yet read the books, look into
them. Share them with your children and friends-they
have strong messages for all Indigos (and Crystals) and
the act of sharing them with your children will let them
know that it is all right to be Indigo and may even open
the door to communication about their gifts and
potential. I have truly enjoyed the books, as have my
children and they are proof that when we acknowledge
our gifts (as did JK Rowling) and act on them, we can
bring gifts to help heal the world.
