Do I Love Me?
Many of the relationship questions that I am asked
during readings with clients focus on whether
someone loves them. It is hard to be in a relationship
with someone who does not seem to love you,
especially when you love that person. And the answer
is not a simple 'yes' or 'no' because there are two
dynamics at work in this situation that involve both
people. The question is not whether they love each
other but whether they love themselves. Most
problems in romantic situations do not focus on the
relationship between the two people, they focus on the
relationship that each individual has with themselves.
How often do we consider whether we love
ourselves? Probably not very often. It seems to be a
rather self-centered issue. And yet the degree to which
we love ourselves has a profound effect on every
aspect of our lives, especially our romantic
relationships. Archangel Uriel often says that we will
never find someone who loves us more than we love
ourselves. Yet if a relationship has problems we tend
to blame the other person, the timing, the situation or
other circumstances. Is there a lesson in self-love to
be learned?
We satisfy our need for love through romantic
relationships, seeing them as being proof that we are
lovable. However, these relationships are not an
indicator of our ability to be loved, they are an indicator
of how much we love ourselves. No one can give to us
what we are unable to give to ourselves. So no one
can give us enough love to compensate for any lack
that we feel in that area. If we start a relationship from
that standpoint we will either find someone who can't
love us or who can't love us enough. And this is true of
every aspect of our life-every situation reflects our
level of self love back to us. We will receive as much
love, appreciation and respect from others as we give
to ourselves.
Understanding that receiving love starts with our ability
to give it to ourselves first will help us find the perfect
partner who can give us all of the love that we want
because they will reflect our self love back to us. It will
help us create the perfect job where we are valued
and respected. We will live in the perfect home, have
loving and supportive friends and live a life of peace
and joy. Every aspect of our life reflects how much we
love ourselves. As with most aspects of our spiritual
journey, it all starts with us and our willingness to
recognize our own gifts and the greatest spiritual gift
that we have is our knowledge of the unconditional
love that connects us all. When we are willing to give
that gift to ourselves, to love ourselves unconditionally,
we will create our own heaven on earth.

When You Are the Teacher
As we move forward on our spiritual journey, increase
our spiritual knowledge and raise our vibrations we
become teachers for those who are stepping onto that
path. That is the task that many of us agreed to, to
share our knowledge with others. We can have
visions of standing in front of crowds of people,
sharing our knowledge with people who are willing to
learn and that can be one aspect of teaching. But
most of us will have teaching experiences with
individual people in our lives, many of whom will be
uncooperative, unwilling and at times even rude or
mean to us.
We are called to teach when we need to help
someone learn a lesson or experience an aspect of
their spiritual journey. These can be easy or difficult
experiences, based on what we need to teach. As
teachers, our role is to simply be who we are and to
allow the situation to unfold. The person who is the
student will do what they do, they will learn or not and
then we move on. But it is usually not that smooth or
easy. We often get caught up in the experience and it
becomes personal, we push the student to learn and
forget that our role is to participate, we lose our
detachment and have expectations about the
outcome.
And the situations in which we are the teacher are not
those which we can easily detach from. There are
often strong attractions and feelings involved so that
we fully participate in the situation. If we forget that our
job is to teach, not to force the other person to learn,
we can feel that we have not done our job if we don't
deliver successful results. But our success is not
dependent on whether we believe the student has
learned and incorporated the lessons in their lives.
We are successful teachers when we simply agree to
share what we have learned and allow the student to
accept the teaching, or not, according to their free will,
their willingness to learn and their own level of
spiritual growth. And we will also learn through this
experience.
When someone calls a teacher into their lives they do
so on a soul level. Their soul requires the lesson in
order to move forward. While the soul may be ready,
the mind and heart must also be in agreement and
sometimes they are not. As teachers we have to
respect each person's free will and to remember that
their ability to grow and learn depends on their
willingness to release their fears. When they are
uncooperative, unwilling, rude or mean to us, their
teachers, it is simply a reflection of the fear that they
have about their spiritual growth. We must respect this
and know that if we can't help them we have done our
job and the Universe will provide them with another
teacher who can.

Uriel's Message-- Lifting the Veil
The veil that exists between the spiritual and material
world is what separates you from fully realizing your
spiritual heritage and connection to Source. The veil
was put in place as part of the human experience on
this planet. It is there so that you can transcend the
human experience and learn to incorporate the
spiritual plane into your lives. The veil exists on the
material side, not the spiritual. So when you ask the
Universe to lift the veil you are asking it to do
something that you must learn to do for yourselves.
The belief that you are less than the Source is part of
the human experience. The veil was not put in place to
limit your access to Source or to prevent you from
accessing your spiritual connections. As you learn
more about your divinity you remove the limitations
that you have to fully experiencing the spiritual world.
Your free will allows you to achieve any level of
spiritual growth and learning that you desire,
according to what you have agreed to do. The veil is
lifted when you are willing to do so. All you have to do
is to be aware.
You become aware of the presence of the veil when
you learn the lessons that pertain to your growth and
healing. When you are ready to surrender your free
will, which holds the veil in place, and allow the
Universe to participate in your journey and co-create
your reality, the veil is lifted. It is through your
willingness to recognize your own divinity and power,
to accept that you have come to work with the Source
to bring the material world to a higher vibration that the
process occurs.
Once the veil is lifted you become aware of another
aspect of life. You have access to your own unlimited
creative abilities and power to manifest. You can step
into the flow of the Universe and create whatever you
want. This has always been available to you but it can
only happen when you are willing to lift it yourselves.
By lifting the veil in your own lives you create an
opening for the rest of humanity to do so. Are you
ready to lift the veil in your life? Acknowledge your
divinity and power, recognize that you are not alone
and are loved unconditionally. Remember your Source
connection and step into your power. Then the veil is
lifted.

Today's Children--Workaholic or Lazy Indigos?
My Indigo children always had chores to do around the
house but required constant reminding of them. It was
very difficult to get them to do the things that I
considered important, such as cleaning their rooms
and I sometimes thought they were being lazy. But
when they were involved in something that they
enjoyed doing they became workaholics and it was
hard to get them to stop. The focus and energy that
Indigos have is inconsistent-they do well with those
things that really capture their interest and passion
and won't bother with other things. Before we
characterize them as lazy because they won't do what
we want them to, we must consider how they focus
their energy and what motivates them.
Most of us do things because we are supposed to
and even if we don't want to, we do them anyway and
don't complain. This is not true of Indigos. They don't
like to waste their time or energy doing things that
don't interest them. In fact, they will sit around and do
nothing rather than doing something that bores them.
To get them to do things they think are unimportant we
have to participate in the process and often tell them
why it is important. Then they will do what we ask,
probably as quickly as possible and taking shortcuts
we would never have considered.
On the other hand, when they are interested in
something they will put their full focus and attention
into it, often forgetting to sleep or eat because they are
so excited about finding something that captures their
attention. The problem with this is that they will drive
themselves to the point of burnout and can become
depressed when the situation is over. With their short
attention spans they require a variety of things to keep
them occupied. But since they are also very selective,
they will narrow the field to
This is the 'all or nothing' nature of Indigos that makes
them hard to understand. They are either completely
into something or not, they will either work hard or not
at all. And if they are not interested, there is little you
can do to get their attention. By communicating with
them you can help them find something that interests
them and then with your support, they will consider it.
Often what we would describe as laziness is just their
insecurities and lack of confidence. It is something
they deal with constantly, despite their many talents.
Indigos need much more attention and support than
we often realize and since they won't ask for it we
must offer. And, the workaholic/lazy behavior often
applies to adult Indigos as well as today's Indigo
generation.
