Making our Own Luck
We make our own luck is something my grandmother
used to tell me when I was a little girl. And I never
really understood what she meant. At various times in
my life I have experienced some very unlucky
circumstances. If we created our own luck, I often
wondered why I did that because I couldn't imagine
that I would knowingly create those situations. But it
had more to do with what I believed about luck than
luck itself. What my grandmother meant, I learned
much later, was that we create the
circumstances that produce luck or lucky situations in
our lives. And even more importantly, it's how what we
focus on and how we view the circumstances and
events that causes us to categorize them as lucky or
unlucky. It's not a random process where luck just
appears, we have to know what we want and then
apply our intention towards that goal.
We must remember that there is no good or bad luck,
just a certain perception of a situation that is uniquely
ours. Everyone has their own view of reality and looks
at the world in a different way, so what is lucky to
some could appear to be terribly unlucky to others. It's
not what is happening that is lucky or unlucky, it's
what we think about it that is important. Our beliefs
and perceptions play an important role in the creation
of our reality, and we need to examine what we think
about luck before we can create it.
What does having luck mean to us? Being able to easily
manifest a great job, nice house, new car, fun
vacations, loving relationships? That meaning is
different for everyone. Before we decide whether we
can create luck we need to define that concept for
ourselves and not base it on what we see other with
that we wish we had. Once we know what we want we
can make choices that propel us into the reality that
we want to create. Because there is no luck; there is
only putting forth our intention and then paying
attention to what happens after that.
Making our own luck is as simple as changing our
perception about what happens in our lives and
knowing what we want. If we remember that we create
every aspect of our reality, lucky or unlucky, we know
that we have the power to change every aspect of it.
If our lives seem to be full of 'bad luck' it's a sign of
something that we need to pay attention to. Is this a
pattern, is it a lesson, is it something that we want or
need to change? The event itself may not be pleasant
but if we judge or categorize it as unlucky, we are
unable to see what else is happening. Is it just another
door of opportunity that is opening? Are we able to free
ourselves from judging and expand our awareness to
consider the vast range of possibilities that is always
available to us? This week, look at the events in your
life that you consider to be lucky or unlucky. How did
you create them and what other opportunities are
available to you? Make your own luck by stepping into
your power, seeing every life event as an opportunity
to move in another direction. We are all lucky because
we can all create miracles and it is by being in total
detachment, non-judgment and standing in our power
that we make our own luck.

Freedom
In the U.S., today is Independence Day, a day when
Americans celebrate their freedom. Many other
countries have days where freedom is celebrated, such
as Anzac Day in Australia and Bastille Day in France.
While it is good to take time to celebrate freedom and
what that means to us, what we're celebrating is
material and physical freedom, our ability to have and
do what we want. What about the concept of spiritual
freedom, the freedom to be ourselves, to live without
judgment, both by ourselves and others and to claim
our own freedom from the oppression of our spirit?
It is a big leap of faith to acknowledge our spirituality,
especially if by doing so we move away from the beliefs
of those close to us, such as our families. Many
lightworkers have been categorized as 'new agers'
meaning that are part of a different way of thinking
that is out of step with the world's religions. Those of
us who were raised within the strict confines of a
religion have to defend our beliefs and are challenged
by those who believe that the path to our salvation is
being compromised and that if we want to go
to 'heaven' we have to get right with God by going
back to church and to religion. Can we recognize this
as a judgment and understand that true spiritual
freedom can only exist in the world when we are free
on all levels, material, physical and spiritual?
We are just becoming aware of the power that is
available to us when we connect with the Source. With
that connection comes freedom, the ability to learn
what our true Self is and is capable of and to create a
reality that reflects that. Even with that knowledge,
however, we are constantly scrutinizing what that
means in the context of others' judgments. Will
someone else approve of us if we make our real needs
known; will they speak to us if we change who we are;
will they like us if we change our minds about what
we're doing and do something else? Do we live in
complete spiritual freedom or are we limited by our
beliefs and perceptions of what that entails? Is there a
way for us to be truly free to be ourselves, without
fear of judgment, reprisal or condemnation by others?
Does that matter to us? With spiritual freedom it
doesn't because it is not important.
Freedom is the state of being free, in all aspects. If we
look at it in terms of physical and material freedom-we
can go where we want and have what we want, we are
only looking at a small part of freedom. Without an
understanding of spiritual freedom, the ability to be who
we are, and to allow others the same freedom without
judgment, then we limit our spiritual growth and we
have put the cart before the horse because we cannot
enjoy true material and physical freedom without
spiritual freedom. We must stand up for our spiritual
freedom with the same vigor and passion that we do for
our material and physical freedom, for it is the
precursor to a true state of freedom in the world.
Today be grateful for the freedoms that you have and
send light to the parts of the world where war, discord,
violence, oppression and lack of freedom exist.
Everyone has the ability to express their spiritual
freedom and without it true and lasting world peace
cannot exist. Do not buy into the belief that war brings
peace and freedom-only acceptance of others,
without judgment, can bring peace and when we can
live in spiritual freedom then we, and all of humanity,
will be truly free and create heaven on earth.

Uriel's Message
Can you accept that life is just an illusion? That all that
you see and know are just emanations of your beliefs
and perceptions? How would you feel if you knew that
nothing in your life was stable or fixed and that with a
single thought you could shift everything? The Shift in
Consciousness has brought to you an awareness of
your power and of the control that you have over your
reality. But it is still safer for you to live within the
belief that the reality that you see is all that there is.
One of the Shift's lessons is to teach you how to live
beyond the illusion of your current reality and learn to
manifest what you really want. This can come about in
very unsettling ways but it is all part of the process of
showing you what the illusion is so that you can learn
how to live beyond the illusions that you create for
yourselves, born of the constraints of your beliefs and
perceptions.
You live in the belief that live according to a pre-
determined destiny that is your life path. That was
once true for humanity, when its vibrations were lower.
But it is no longer true for you. The increase in
vibration has given all of you the ability to step into
your power and to practice your co-creative abilities,
where you participate in the creation of, and indeed
can choose, your destiny, your path. You can be, have
and do anything your heart desires. This represents a
great deal of power and with that comes much
responsibility. You only have control over your own life
path and cannot interfere with the free will of another.
So you cannot, for example, force someone to do your
will. You cannot 'make' someone love, appreciate,
respect or honor you. But you can create a reality for
yourself in which that exists.
Anything that is not loving, kind, thoughtful or
honorable is an illusion of the ego. Any life
circumstance in which there is discord, disharmony and
lack of abundance is an illusion. And you have the
power, when working with the Shift energies, to change
that illusion. All it takes is acknowledgement of the
illusion and your willingness to change it. The current
world situation in which your governments declare war
on each other, use their power to create lack and
discord is merely a reflection of the illusions of millions
of people. When you work together, when lightworkers
agree to change that illusion, great miracles can occur
and these illusions can be changed to reflect the
Highest Good of all.
Each one of you that changes the illusion in which you
live creates a resonance throughout the Universe that
will be reflected in your world. Do you believe or feel
that you are just one person and are powerless to
change anything? Each one of you is powerful beyond
measure and has the full power of the Universe behind
you. Look at the illusions which exist in your own lives
today and make a declaration of your power to change
them. Any area of lack or discord is an illusion-see it
for what it is. Then change your focus and intention
and replace those illusions which reflect the powerful
spiritual beings that you are. The effect will be
magnified throughout the Earth so that all of humanity
has the opportunity to live in peace. The time to begin
is now because there are many illusions that need to be
changed. You have agreed to do this by your presence
in the here and now. This is your work and part of your
contract; you have the knowledge, ability and power.
Know that each attempt that you make will be
rewarded for this is what you came to do. Accept your
power and your task and everything that you do will be
supported.

Today's Children-The Confused Indigos
The new article on today's children is now available on
the website. This generation is known by
many names, including Indigo and Crystal Children, Star
Children, Light Children. Whatever name they are known
by, they are a generation that we have never seen
before and they have special needs, gifts and talents.
The Crystal and Indigo children represent the new,
higher energetic patterns that are arriving to change
the Earth's vibrational frequency.This new series
provides information on these children and the
wonderful gifts they bring to the world.
Today's generation of young adults are faced with so
many choices and opportunities. For the first time in
humanity's history, they have the ability to be and do
whatever they choose. They have unlimited access to
a variety educational choices and opportunities that
we, as their parents did not have. Even at the high
school level, they can benefit from classes in subjects
that were not available when I was in school. And yet
why is it that so many of them choose to opt out, to
do nothing? They seem to be unmotivated and
distracted, many of them use hallucinogenic drugs and
seem to want to pass their time on their cell phones or
the Internet, rather than take advantage of the
opportunities that are available to them. They have
come to change the world but they also need to
participate in the world to be able to make those
changes, and many are not doing that. They are stuck,
afraid, and unable to move in any direction.
Right now many Indigos are confused by what they see
as too many choices but not enough opportunities.
Sure, they can go to university and get an education.
But the educational system is not one in which they
can function. And then what? Most have no desire to
participate in the corporate world and do not have the
confidence to do other things, such as start a
business, create art or music, or express their gifts.
While they have much potential, the 'ways of the world'
confuse them and because they operate in integrity
and trust everyone, they are often taken advantage of.
Their option to do nothing is often a decision that they
do not make by choice but out of fear. They don't
know what to do with themselves because they just
don't fit in anywhere and can't find purpose or value in
the corporate career track or in a life that follows that
of their parents. What can we do to help them?
Indigos do not willingly share their fears or concerns
with their parents but through careful questioning and
discussion we can find out what those fears are. They
are intuitive enough to know that things in the world
are changing and that the current world structure is
not sustainable. So many have taken a wait and see
attitude before they figure out what they want to do.
We can help them by working with them to learn what
they want, what their dreams are and then gently
guide them in that direction. Their confusion can be
turned into confidence if we show them that we
understand, instead of being frustrated by their inability
to 'do something' and take advantage of what we see
as a vast array of opportunities and they see as
choices that all lead in the same direction. The most
important key to opening the doorway of
communication with them is not to see them as 'wrong'
but to understand their viewpoint, as best we can, and
work within those parameters to give them solutions
that they will see as opportunities and understand the
potential that they have for them. When we, their
parents, understand and acknowledge what they fear
about the world and its rules, we will be able to help
them find their way through it so that they can move
through it with confidence and experience what needs
to be changed so that they can begin their work. With
patience, they will become 'unstuck' and begin to work
within their power. Then their true work begins.
Remember that we were gifted with these children
because we had the ability to help, guide and teach
them through the most difficult parts of their lives,
which many of them seem to be experiencing now. We
can't stop at this critical juncture, so we need to build
relationships with other Indigo parents and work
together to help this important generation move past
their confusion and build their confidence, remember
who they are and why they are here.
