Who is Winning?

There is definitely something happening in the world as the events of last week proved. Michael Jackson's death shocked the world, we breathed a sigh of relief for Farrah Fawcett, whose struggle with cancer finally ended, there was more news about various financial scandals and here in the US a governor who stood for morality and integrity admitted that he had been having an affair with a woman in Argentina and even used state money to pay for a trip there. Whew, with all of this going on we have to ask the question, who is winning? Are we sliding into the darkness or heading into the light? We're doing both and we have nothing to worry about.

Our slide into the darkness is carefully orchestrated to bring the most light possible to the greatest number of people. Our ancient teachers warned us that these times would be difficult, there would be sadness and confusion, things that could not be explained and actions that would challenge our faith. We need to follow our own path and not look at others' experiences and wonder whether know more than we do or are giving us a reason to be afraid too. Everyone is on the part of their life journey that they must do alone, making their own choices and acting from their level of spiritual growth and understanding. We are beyond the point in our evolution where we can make choices for others, where we can carry the light for them. The question for us to ask is where is our own light? How brightly does it shine?

We are moving into the light but it is an expansive movement, not linear. Our third dimensional thinking moves with forward, linear movement but with the Universe, movement occurs exponentially, in every direction. Our focus is on what appears to be happening in front of us and we can't see everything else that is happening all around us. Even though we can wonder what is going on with the world as we watch things fall apart, we know that when we have been in darkness the light initially appears as a blinding glare that illuminates everything. Then as we become accustomed to it, the glare becomes a steady glow.

Everything we are experiencing is part of the divine plan and we are watching it unfold. If things seem a bit tense at the moment it is because we have worked so hard to get here and have never really known what would happen at this time. We will look back on this period with gratitude for being part of this process. For now, while it is happening, we are overwhelmed and confused but this too shall pass. All we have to do is focus on bringing light to the darkness, to manage our own fears and remember that we came here for this, so staying on track with our own healing purpose, moving the energy in our life, is what is important for us to do. We will see more deaths, more people leaving because they have finished with their work and more exposure of the lack of integrity and deceit that has been around for years. That is the job of the light and it is doing its work, just as we are doing ours.
