Our Spiritual Beliefs
Having been raised as a Catholic, I thought that
spiritual people went to church every Sunday and
never misbehaved. So if I missed church, either
accidentally or deliberately, I was afraid that God
would hate me. When I stopped going to church there
was a void in my life that I filled with a variety of
spiritual books and teachers until I found a place
where I could create a balance between my spiritual
and material worlds. I knew that God would never hate
me and that being spiritual had nothing to do with
being religious. But it took a long time to overcome
those beliefs.
Everyone has an opinion about spirituality and since
most of us (who are now adults) have grown up
learning about the connection between religion and
spirituality and believing that they were the same
thing. When we changed our beliefs we had to find a
new way of thinking about that or fear, even if it was a
small fear, divine retribution. I remember when I told
my mother about my new spiritual beliefs and that I
would no longer be going to the Catholic church she
said, with a worried look, 'I hope you are right.'
We have the freedom to define our own spiritual
beliefs, create our own version of our Source
connection and learn to apply those beliefs to our life.
If we're doing the wrong thing, we will quickly find that
out. Once we step onto the spiritual path the Universe
helps us by showing us, in ways we cannot ignore,
where our actions are not beneficial. But what we
choose to believe about spirituality is really our
choice-there are no right or wrong answers. It is,
quite simply, only about unconditional love and the
light.
So, we have the freedom to create our own spiritual
beliefs. We benefit from focusing on those that remind
us of our power, divinity and our partnership with God.
We are no less than anyone else or any other thing in
the Universe. Everything and everyone is connected.
We all have the same power, same abilities and
same access to the energy around us. What we do
with it is our choice and our decision and the results
are our responsibility. When we narrow our spiritual
beliefs down to these simple principles, life becomes
a matter of creating joy, peace, abundance, miracles
and unconditional love.

Are You Paying Attention?
I have a friend who loves to watch movies at home.
And when he does, they get his full attention. He does
not answer the phone, get up ten times, do other
tasks or talk. When we watch movies together he finds
my behavior extremely irritating because I am
constantly doing something else besides watching
the movie. He once asked me 'how can you know
what is going on if you aren't paying attention?' He
was right, I was watching the movie, in a way, but I
really wasn't paying attention. So while I was getting
the overall big picture, I was missing the important
details because I was too busy doing other things.
I am very good at multi tasking, doing several things at
once and getting them all finished. But I never really
have the time to pay attention to what I am doing
because I always have so much to do. And most of us
are in the same situation. How could we possibly
manage our busy lives if we could not do several
things at once? While multi tasking has become the
new way of doing things, it allows us to accomplish
the big picture but we miss the small details.
When my children were young we had a porch swing
and on warm days I would sit with them occasionally
and do nothing but swing slowly back and forth. It is
one of my best memories with them. When I said that
to a friend she asked me how I found the time to do
that. But it was not about finding time, it was about
creating a magical moment when my attention was on
my children and on the world around us. And many
years later, I can remember every detail of those
moments we spent in the porch swing because I was
paying attention.
We can find the time to do so many things but that is
what not what life is about, it is about the small
details, the little magical moments when we are so
focused on being in the moment that nothing else is
important. And those moments are gifts that we give to
ourselves. This week, give yourself the gift of paying
attention to yourself. Take time out of your day to just
be with yourself or with a child or a special friend. Give
them the gift of your full attention and you will create a
space in your life for being completely in the present
moment, paying attention and seeing every detail.

Uriel's Message--What Did You Understand?
The greatest cause of misunderstanding in the world
today is how people understand each other. Each of
you has a unique perception and understanding of
yourselves, of others and the world around you.
Conflict arises when those perceptions cause you to
understand one thing when someone meant
something entirely different. When you add your
emotional responses to the situation things escalate
until they get out of control. And it was all about
understanding.
This is what creates arguments and conflict in your
personal lives and in the world around you. Most of
these can be avoided if each of you creates a neutral
space where you process what others say with your
intuitive guidance before you respond from a place of
fear or judgment. What you understand of what others
say is based on your beliefs, your past experiences
and any judgments you have of them. These
judgments can cause you to create a sphere of
understanding that will interpret everything they say
before they even say it.
When what someone says evokes an emotional
response allow your inner guidance to show you
where you need healing in this area. Whatever causes
you pain is merely connecting to a wound that you
carry in your emotional body. This wound can be
healed if you allow yourself to acknowledge that other
people are brought into your life to help you heal, in
the same way that you help them. Your ability to learn
from how you hear and understand them will create
the healing for you. And it will release your karma with
them.
Creating peace on earth is not something that the
spiritual realm is responsible for; it is the
responsibility of those of you who are here now. While
the spiritual realm can guide you, it is your ability to
remove your focus from the emotional, mental and
physical bodies and understand from a spiritual
perspective that will create heaven on earth. You have
this ability; it was what you came here to do. When you
hear what someone tells you from a spiritual
perspective you understand on a higher level and
cannot respond with judgment or conflict. Once
humanity understands this concept peace will exist
everywhere and there will be no judgment or conflict in
any interaction. Then heaven will exist on earth.

Today's Children--A Sad Indigo Story
I received news of the suicide of one of my niece's
friends recently and I was sad that such a beautiful,
talented young girl could have chosen this for herself.
My niece, also an Indigo, was very upset and
remarked that her friend did that because her parents
were so critical of her. This young girl, a college
student, had recently learned that she had not been
accepted to a prestigious college, which her parents
had been pressuring her to go to. And it was the final
straw. Her suicide was planned and deliberate, she
parked her car in a remote area, hooked up a hose to
the tailpipe and had also placed a list of contacts in
the car.
The criticism that this girl received from her parents,
especially her mother, was relentless. They criticized
her grades, her weight problem, her friends and
everything else. She worked so hard to please them
but was never able to. Her response was to withdraw
and then to eventually make the decision to commit
suicide. I am not surprised that she did because
Indigos simply do not handle that type of pressure.
When they are criticized to that degree they will turn to
drugs or alcohol and then sometimes take other
measures.
I have often wondered why such talented children, the
generation that is supposed to change the world,
often has such difficult childhood experiences or can
have chosen parents who treat them so badly. But it is
their choice and they often have to experience that
level of energy in order to understand what they have
come here to do. The bigger message of this girl's
suicide, though, is the pressure that is put on children
today to succeed, to do more, to be successful at
things that they may not even care about. Although
they may not say anything about it, it does take its toll
on them.
The increased attention on the Indigo generation has
provided them with the support that they need to
overcome some of the situations that they find
themselves in. And they do find loving, supportive
adults who can give them the attention and support
that they do not receive from their parents. As they
begin to understand who they are and what they came
here to do they can find ways to overcome the
challenges that they experience in their childhoods. It
is our responsibility, as adult Indigos and Crystals, to
help them when they come across our path and to be
the loving, nurturing guidance in their lives so that they
do not sink into depression or despair and forget who
they are and what they came here to do.

Spiritual Mentoring
I am now offering a spiritual mentoring program,
where
we will focus on your spiritual growth, current issues
or
problems and work through a solution. This program
is
available in blocks of four weekly sessions where we
work together to help you move past whatever is
blocking your spiritual path. Information is on the
website on the Spiritual Mentoring page. This program
is different from miracle coaching in that you choose
what you want to focus on during our time together.
Sessions are one-on-one and by telephone so
availability is limited.
Do you really need a miracle right now? Do you wish
you could focus on getting whatever you
needed in your life, at this moment ,and have it
appear? The Miracle Coaching program can teach
you
how to do that. Miracle coaching teaches you how to
use your creative power and become a miracle
creator,
putting you in control of creating miracles in your life,
instead of just wishing that they would happen.
The 8 week Miracle Program will teach you how to
get 'unstuck' and get the creative energy moving in
your life, so that miracles are an everyday occurrence
in your life. For 8 weeks, I will be your personal coach,
guiding you through this process. Each week you will
have a lesson to complete and a 30 to 45 minute
personal coaching session with me. I am also
available
by email on an unlimited basis to provide you with
support and feedback on your progress. You will
receive
a certificate of completion at the end of the course,
acknowledging your success as a miracle creator.
You
will also receive a FREE e-book '30 days to Everyday
Miracles', filled with information on how to create
miracles. Coaching availability is limited, so sign up
now.
Information is available on the Uriel Heals website,
Miracle Coaching page.
