Aligning with Alignment
Because we have been told how important our work is
at this time and because we want to do the right and
best thing, we put a great deal of pressure on
ourselves to do things right. Since we are all in
uncharted territory at the moment, it can be difficult for
us to know what that is. When it comes to alignment,
we have many questions. What does it mean to be
aligned, how do we know when we are there and what
happens after that? Often the questions have no
answer because this really is a new way of being for
all of us. More importantly, we learn to align with the
process of alignment once we stand in our power and
define what it means for us.
During the past twenty years I have read countless
spiritual books and worked with a number of teachers.
This helped me along my spiritual path, up to a point.
During the past seven years, as I worked through the
Shift, spiritual teachers and even spiritual guidance
were not always available. And the more I tried to align
myself with others, the more I felt pushed away from
this type of guidance. I know that I had not been
abandoned by the Universe, I was being given an
opportunity to align myself with what I wanted, to learn
to create my own reality, trust in my own knowing and
stand in my power. It was during this very difficult
period that I was guided to create this newsletter, an
opportunity to align myself with the work I came to do,
to find my power and use my gifts.
Just as we are each on an individual spiritual path,
how we align with the call of alignment is also an
individual process. While we can look to others for
assistance and guidance, the final choices are always
ours. And sometimes we are kept away from others
and allowed to find the answers to our questions on
our own. What we do with our power, gifts and
abilities, how we create our reality, what we choose to
think, feel and believe are all our choices. We can
choose to look at this as a huge responsibility or as a
confirmation of the Universe's belief in our power and
divinity.
Alignment is not a process of finding spiritual
perfection; it is a wakeup call to all of us to let our most
cherished wishes, our deepest desires and longings
to come to the surface so that we can let them
manifest in our reality. Each thing that our heart
desires is something that is a potential reality-I call it
a 'potential reality' because it will not happen unless
we allow it to by releasing our fears, doubts and
disbelief and trusting that it is right for us because we
want it. The Universe will support us in everything we
do but it works with us, not for us. We have to put out
the energy and intention and then we can align
ourselves with the heaven on earth that is our spiritual
birthright and learn to live in alignment.

Listening and Learning
I have recently been involved in a fairly difficult
relationship with someone who would not listen to
me. No matter how I tried to explain my position and
defend myself, they would not or could not agree with
me or even acknowledge me. I was very distressed
because I thought I was communicating my position
quite clearly. Then, as I was explaining the situation to
a friend and complaining about it my friend said
quietly, 'Maybe you need to listen to him.' I was
shocked. This wasn't someone else's lesson, but
mine. I thought that I was being the teacher but I was
actually the student. The lesson for me was to listen
more and talk less so that I could learn what I needed
to from this person.
We can be so busy with trying to help others with their
lessons that we forget we have lessons to learn too
and we learn them from the people we interact with. In
addition to being spiritual teachers, we are also
students. The most difficult people in our lives often
have the greatest lessons to teach us. If we are
focused on what we teach others we can forget that
these are often opportunities for us to learn But when
we're involved in a lesson, especially one in which we
feel that we need to defend ourselves or be heard, we
can spend so much time talking and teaching that we
forget that there are times when we need to learn to
listen and learn.
It is easy to resist the lessons that we need to learn
because they often come in the form of a challenge to
our beliefs, integrity or truth. When we become so
involved in the lesson that it becomes a distraction in
our life, it is a signal to us that we need to become
quiet and listen. Does the other person have
something to say that we need to hear, even if it is
difficult for us? Are they trying to help us shift our own
energy and way of doing things? Is this an opportunity
for us to learn something that we can only learn by
going through this experience with this person?
Things are moving very quickly now and the
opportunities for us to shift our own energy are all
around us. Our opportunities for change are not
always obvious but we are being called to open our
hearts to others and to ourselves, to embrace the
shifting energy and to learn new ways of relating to
ourselves and to others. These lessons are brought to
us through other people and when we recognize them
we can learn our own lessons and move forward on
our path. Situations where we feel that we need to talk
more to get our point across are often opportunities for
us to listen and learn.

Uriel's Message--Honor One Another
Each of you is a divine spiritual being and each is
equally loved by the Creator. The choices that each
individual makes in their lifetime are a reflection of
their belief in their divinity, their level of spiritual
understanding, their lessons and their spiritual
journey. Some souls have difficult lessons to learn;
others may be blessed with a lifetime of ease and
abundance. These are not indications that they are
loved more or less than anyone, but what they have
come to learn. Whether they are successful or not is a
matter that can only be determined by their soul. When
you honor each other, you acknowledge each other on
a soul level.
Those who do wrong to others are acting out their
karmic lessons. If there seems to be more of this
today it is because so many souls are here to heal
karma while they can. It is, for many, the final
opportunity to heal and complete lessons that they
have incarnated many times to learn. Some merely
repeat the wrongs that have been done to them in
previous lifetimes. Others learn to atone for and heal
their karma. When you are involved in this process you
have two choices, you can participate in the karma or
not. You create that choice by honoring the other
person and allowing yourself to see them on a soul
level, where karma can be viewed as an interchange
of emotional and physical experiences.
In different lifetimes each of you has been a victim and
an aggressor, a bringer of joy and pain. When you
honor each other you acknowledge others on a soul
level and this removes you from the karmic level to a
higher vibration. At the karmic level you respond to the
emotions and react to the karma that you both share.
At a higher vibration you respond on a spiritual level,
where you can make choices that will help you heal
and end the karma with another because you
understand the pain of your experiences and can see
and allow yourself to experience a different outcome.
This can be a difficult choice to make as the karma
you share with others carries a very strong emotional
bond. When you honor each other you transcend the
emotional connections and raise your participation to
a higher level. The other person must then meet you at
this level or they cannot interact with you. This provides
them an opportunity to heal their karma and move
forward on their own spiritual path. Lifetimes of karma
are being healed at this time, entire soul groups are
ending their associations so that new connections
can be made. Honor each other and help this process
move forward. This is part of the work that you came
here to do.

Today's Children--The Importance of Family
This month has been a milestone for my family as two
of my children have had graduation ceremonies. While
they are happy about their achievements, what is most
important to them is that it is an opportunity for our
family to get together and celebrate. Indigos and
Crystals both have strong connections to family, to the
bonds that exist with the people who love them. This
can include both their family of origin and important
friends. They may not always show others that they
love and need them, but they often need to be around
the people that they love and who love them. And they
will eventually come back to those relationships, no
matter how much they may seem to resist them.
During my most difficult times with my children, the
knowledge that they were hurting the family and the
intervention of family and friends contributed to helping
them change their behavior. Although we never
rejected them, they thought that they were at risk of
losing our love and support and they never went so far
as to completely break those ties. I believe that their
behavior was often a test of how much we loved them,
how far they could push us until we confirmed that they
were beyond loving. When that did not happen, they
stopped testing us.
I experienced that behavior with both my Indigo and
Crystal children. Even my Crystal grandson can
behave really badly at times and then look at me to
see what I will do. When I don't react badly, he
becomes his loving self again. With my Indigo children
the tests were more dramatic (as is everything with
Indigos) but it was always a test of whether I still loved
them and whether they could push me to the point
where I no longer did, confirming their belief that they
were 'unlovable.'
While it is unusual for extended families to live close
together, many families are making choices to move
closer together. Other families create strong
friendships with others who become surrogate
families. For the Indigo and Crystal children this is a
very good thing. They need these relationships to
experience the close ties that keep them grounded
and remind them that there are people in the world
who value and love them. No matter how far they may
seem to move away from this, they will come back to it
and appreciate what they have. And the Indigos, in
their way, will act like nothing happened. Having
strong ties to people who love them, whether it is a
family of origin or a surrogate family, is very important
to these new generations. Our ability to provide them
with these support structures can help them stay more
grounded and make life easier for all of us.
