Happy new year! We held the
energy of 2009 until its final moment and now it is over. The
2010 predictions are now up and you can read them here.
This month's article is entitled A Purposeful
Life. What is our purpose in life, why are we here
and what are we supposed to do? We each want to know our
purpose, which we believe will answers these questions and
guide us on the best and right path. But our purpose is not
some grand and glorious thing we will do in the future. It is
happening within each moment and we are always in our purpose.
- What happens
when our spirit-based purpose meets duality? It can either
be a joyous reunion or a total rejection, or something in
between. How does duality affect our purpose? Read
about it in the first article.
- We are
receiving many signs and guidance about how to use this
transformational energy and what direction to move into.
Sometimes the signs are frustrating, as I experienced this
week and talk about in the second article.
- The most
important question we can ask is 'what', which is detailed
in Archangel Uriel's message this week.

get your Indigo to try new things with confidence and
without drama? I used a baby spoon and it made trying new

Purpose
and Duality
The life lived with purpose is one that flows
effortlessly from one experience to the next, a cycle of
receiving and release that moves into ever higher energetic
levels. The material life becomes a mirror of spiritual growth
and understanding, so that each experience on the material
plane is simply an opportunity to review what occurring on the
spiritual. Our spiritual lives are expressed through our
humanity and the outcome is the best combination of spiritual
and material. This all sounds like a wonderful, simple process
until we add duality, the energy of the third dimension.
Spirit flows to us in an endless, limitless,
boundless stream of energy. If we could be in this flow we
would be in a constant state of bliss, receiving, releasing,
shifting, growing and learning in an evolution of heaven on
earth. But Spirit flows until it meets duality, the energy of
the ego and free will. This meeting is either a joyful
acceptance which creates a powerful partnership, a complete
rejection which excludes Spirit or something in between.
Duality wishes to express every aspect of itself,
which is something like finding new ways to touch fire and not
get burned. It is stubborn and willful and sees its purpose as
conquering the world through its energy. Duality then becomes
its own purpose and the life lived in this way exists solely
to express duality, separation, disconnection and the
Spirit-less life. Within duality we feel powerless because it
has a way of creating messes which we must focus our time and
energy to fix. Yet, if we allow the smallest amount of Spirit
into our reality, duality fades into the background.
Just as a small light can illuminate a great deal of
darkness, so can a small amount of willingness to work with
Spirit transform duality into partnership, allowing us to
experience effortless living. Wherever we are focused,
directed, obsessed, grasping and fearful is where we are
expressing duality in its singular aspects. Being willing to
let go, open up to Spirit, consider other options and able to
view ourselves beyond the material creates a new life purpose,
the expression of spiritual partnership. And this then leads
to the effortless flow of life and new possibilities for
joyful, purpose-led living that is the expression of heaven on
earth.

Signs from the Heavens
I have been watching the energies shifting in this last
week, an interesting process that has resulted in a personal
challenge to release and a reminder of what I needed to work
on. My personal release challenge is my home and the life I
have created here, which is quite comfortable but does
not bring me joy. And to tell me what I needed to work on, I
damaged my car (nothing serious) while backing into my garage,
after an experience at the grocery store that left me
wondering whether I had stepped into an alternate
reality.
As we move out of the energies we have been living in
and into higher levels, it becomes more and more difficult to
connect with people who are not at that level. In fact, the
more we move out of particular vibrations, we become invisible
to many people. They do not see us at all, are unable to
connect to us and we annoy and irritate them. So while at the
grocery store this week (the same store I have shopped at for
four years), I received confirmation that my energy was
definitely not appreciated-no one looked at or spoke to me and
the few people who did were rude and antagonistic. One man
yelled at me for moving his grocery cart to get something off
of a shelf that his cart was blocking, even though he was not
anywhere near it and I barely moved it.
Annoyed and slightly frustrated, when I returned home
I decided to back into my garage and then hit the bumper of my
car on a steel support pole. The damage is slight, but it will
have to be fixed. So, I looked at my car and contemplated the
message because everything that happens to us has a message.
Without getting into a lot of detail, it has to do with what I
am focusing my attention on (there were other things besides
the grocery store incident) and being aware of my presence.
This car is bigger than my previous one and I need to be aware
that I now require more space in my garage and maneuver
accordingly.
This all has to do with my place in the reality I
have created for myself here-it is too small for me and there
is nothing for me to connect to, or that wants to connect with
me. The choices are obvious, to stay here or to go somewhere
else. When we are ready to move forward, the Universe supports
us by keeping our focus on the necessary changes as we make
the required adjustments in our thinking and our energy so
that we can step into a new reality. We can take as long as we
need to complete the process and in the meantime, the Universe
will send us signs to help us along the way. What kinds of
signs are you receiving regarding the changes you want to make
in your life? They are there for you and are your guideposts
for your new reality. Follow the trail and it will lead you to
where you need to be for this next stage of your journey.

Uriel's
Message -- Ask What, Not Why
The human in you always wants to know why things happen,
why certain outcomes become your reality and even why you are
not supported and guided to a more abundant, joyful experience
of life. But why is not the proper question because it assumes
that some other power is in control of your reality. When you
ask 'why' you are asking yourself a question that only you can
answer, and whose only answer is 'because you created it'. You
do not see yourselves as all powerful, wise and knowing but
you are. Each of you has the wisdom of the Universe, the power
of God and the understanding of the ages available to you.
When you combine these with the transformational experiences
you are having, all of them part of your ascension journey,
the question you must ask is 'what'.
Every thought has an impact on your ascension
journey. Every thought creates an outcome which reflects your
energetic vibrations, level of being and dimensional
placement. The challenge is to recognize which thoughts are
fear-based and decrease your power, replacing them with
thoughts that reflect your understanding and increase your
power. When you ask 'why' you decrease your power because you
see the results of your thinking as being outside of yourself
and your power. But when you ask 'what' you are open to
greater learning and understanding.
The many skills you have perfected in the course of
your lifetimes are what you use to expand your power. Although
you forget what occurs in other lifetimes on a mind level,
this information is part of your life experiences, the
thoughts you have and the situations you create. Your most
powerful questions are 'what have I done to create this' and
'what is the purpose in this experience'. From this point you
can then ask 'what is the greatest use of my power now'. The
answer will lead you to the resolution, a perfect outcome and
confirmation of your understanding and transformation.
You must see yourselves as masters on this
journey. You are here as guardians of the earth's
ascension, as masters of your own energy and stewards of the
process of transformation that you have been part of since
your entry into the third dimension. Stay focused on your
mastery for this keeps your energy in alignment with the truth
of your journey here. Do not let fear overtake your purpose
and allow you to stray from the truth that you know in your
heart-you are masters and you are blessed and loved. Refine
your path and purpose through your understanding of 'what' and
you will receive the answers you need to make each choice and
thought of joy, peace and abundant
blessings.

When my children were young it was sometimes hard to get
them to try new foods. Rather than force them to eat food they
didn't like and repeat the table dramas I experienced as a
child, I came up with a solution that was fun, drama-free and
gave them a life lesson they carried into adulthood. My
solution was to use a baby spoon, the small ones that I used
when they were babies and put that amount the new food on
their plate. They got a taste of the new food, thought the
baby spoon was fun and there was no drama. Of course, then
everyone wanted to eat with the baby spoon, but that was
another matter.
Indigos are often afraid to try new things and when
faced with the prospect of diving into something new and
unfamiliar, they often refuse to move forward. Their lack of
confidence often translates into fear of incompetence, being
ridiculed and failing. Since they tend to assume they will
fail anyway, they need something that will allow them to try
new things without fully committing themselves, until they
have the confidence to fully embrace them. Teaching them to
take things in smaller steps is the solution.
I know, in dealing with my own Indigo children, that
they tend to have a 'doom and gloom' view of the world.
Everything is so dramatic, impossible, and out of proportion
with them because they tend to see the huge picture, feel
every emotion through their empathy and are unable to see the
match between their skills and abilities with what needs to be
accomplished. Then they get scared, their stubborn streak goes
into overdrive and they stop everything before they ever take
the first step.
My children still talk about the baby spoon and often
refer to their ability to break things down into smaller
pieces as using the baby spoon to handle their challenges. I
am glad that they used this as a positive learning experience
and that it helped them learn that their first impression is
more powerful when it is grounded in knowing. Taking a small
step into new territory is easier when they have an idea of
what is out there and being able to do that with confidence,
understanding and in smaller doses helps them to feel like
they are in control and can make decisions as they are
comfortable with the process.
