Material Alignment
When we are in alignment everything in our lives is in
balance and the predominant energy in our lives is
unconditional love, we are always in our power and
able to manifest the reality that we desire. Since it is
our natural spiritual state, it is a place that we seek on
a conscious and unconscious level, with varying
degrees of success. If our lives feel out of balance we
look for anything to create the joy that our soul longs
for and we often do it through material things. That
gives us some degree of temporary satisfaction. But if
we're not careful we can fill our lives with material
things to compensate for our spiritual discomfort.
Living in the U.S., I am constantly surprised by the
amount of stuff that people have. I know many people
who rent storage rooms in which they put the things
that won't fit in their houses. If material abundance
meant happiness they would be the happiest people
in the world. But they aren't. They are looking for
alignment by filling their lives with the physical proof
that they have enough of everything. And it is not
possible to do that.
Creating material alignment is not about having more
things in our life, it is about ensuring that our outer
reality reflects the fulfillment that we seek within our
inner reality. So it is not about how much we have but
whether what we have reflects what we truly want. Is
our life moving in a direction that we are happy with,
are we satisfied with everything that we are doing,
does our life bring us joy? When we have the courage
to consider those questions and answer them
honestly we can begin to create material alignment in
our life. And that is often about creating more on the
inside so we need less on the outside.
In our search for happiness and fulfillment we often
add things to our life, thinking that the next thing will be
the one that creates joy. If it does not, we will seek to
acquire something else to satisfy ourselves. But it is
not how much we have that creates material
alignment, rather whether what we have is what we
want on a heart and soul level. Understanding what
we want in terms of the career, relationship, lifestyle
and abundance that brings us joy is what will bring us
to that place. As we focus on creating material
alignment everything that does not have that energy for
us will fall away and be replaced by what we need.
This week, look at where you would like to be in
material alignment. Does your outer world reflect what
you truly want? If not, make a commitment to change
and don't be afraid to see that things move in and out
of your reality until you achieve the balance that you
want. Remember that the Universe responds to your
every need and will work with you to create the life of
your dreams. What is removed will be replaced with
what brings you into material alignment and the joy,
peace, happiness and love that you seek.

Stepping Into Others' Energy
This week I had the opportunity to participate in a
situation that allowed me to step into another's energy
and experience a situation the way they did. Not only
was it difficult, I was unprepared for the level of chaos
and drama that it brought into my life. My intentions
were good, as I was trying to be helpful and to help
someone work through an issue. And I thought that I
could handle anything that came my way but I was
wrong. What I learned from this experience was that I
needed to stand in my own energy and no matter what
others did, to let them process their own issues until
they were able to meet me at a level that I could work
within.
When we step into another's energy we agree to
communicate with them, on a spiritual level, at a
vibration that they are able to work with. But that
vibration is also accompanied by all of the emotions
that they are working through and processing, which
we may not experience in the same way. In my
situation, for example, I connected with a level of
anger and fear that I did not understand and had never
encountered in my reality. I was unprepared and
unable to handle these emotions and finally had to
detach in order to protect myself.
Each of vibrates at an energy level that includes our
emotional background, the result of all of the
experiences that we have had in our lifetime and what
we brought in with us to work on. Depending on
whether we live in the past or the present, those
emotions are either in the foreground or background
of our lives. All of the emotions carry energy which
collectively establishes our level of vibration. As
Lightworkers, we can be tempted to help someone
heal or move forward on their path by stepping into
their energy. And when we do, we have to work at the
emotional and energetic level at which they are at,
which can be difficult for us.
What I learned from my experience is that I need to
stay at my own energy level when I am working with
others and allow them to process what they need to
without my direct participation on an energetic level.
Those who want us to help them are attracted by our
light and by holding our own light and energy we can
provide them with a solution that can help them
change their energy level and find other solutions to
their issues. We provide the best healing when what
we have to offer is something different than what
another is used to or can see as an option for
themselves. By holding our light and energy, we
create greater possibilities for healing and keep
ourselves out of others' dramas.

Uriel's Message--Surrender to Timing
While the Universe is active in the present moment
that does not always mean that the results you seek
will be available to you in the immediate future.
Sometimes you must wait, have faith and trust that
what you have asked for will come to you or that a
lesson will be completed when all of its learning has
been absorbed. There is a balance in all things and
part of that balance includes timing, where everything
that needs to occur has an opportunity to do so. Within
each of your life experiences is the need for your
soul's growth to occur so that a lesson that is
completed is learned on a level that provides you with
the opportunity to heal on many levels. Timing is part
of that process.
When you engage in experiences with others or create
a situation that presents you with a lesson, how
quickly you get through it is not important. It may time a
lifetime or many lifetimes to complete a lesson. The
combination of your ability to process learning, heal
karma and accept your power and divinity all
contribute to how quickly you will work through your
lessons and move your reality into alignment with your
soul's desire for unconditional love, peace, joy and
abundance. In each lesson, there is an element of
timing that must be honored because it allows you to
move forward on your path in the most perfect way.
Your ability to surrender to timing, to allow all of the
elements in your reality to come together in the most
perfect way, is an acknowledgement of your belief in
the miraculous, the unexpected and the 'impossible'.
Sometimes it is the most illogical of situations that is
the perfect answer, or the thing that you would never
have considered that arrives as the perfect solution.
When you surrender to timing you allow the Universe
to work with you to create what you want and you know
that every request is heard, acknowledged and acted
upon. Whether the actual manifestation or completion
of a lesson takes one day or one year, it is not a
matter of how long but when everything is in the right
place.
Surrendering to timing is an affirmation of your faith, of
your knowing that you deserve everything your heart
desires and that you are living in partnership with the
Universe. You are here to learn and grow, you choose
the level of pain, suffering, joy and peace you believe
is necessary to learn. You also choose how difficult or
easy your reality is. Since these elements of your
lessons are your choice, the timing of the process is,
in many ways, also your choice. Asking the Universe
to speed things up, whether that involves manifesting
a different reality, getting through a lesson, healing or
moving forward on your path, reveals your fear and
doubt. Surrender to timing and know that everything is
always in divine order. Step into your power, know that
you are always connected and know that when the
time is right, you will have everything you asked for.

Today's Children--Indigos and Finding Balance
One of the things that I tried to create in my children's
lives was balance. So we had routines, schedules
and I tried to keep things predictable. It worked when
they were younger as they always knew what was
happening and when. This helped them manage their
energy and stay balanced in their lives. But when they
got older and their lives became more complicated
they would get off balance and their energy would
scatter in many different directions that included
drugs, drinking, bad friends, difficult behavior and
unfortunate choices. This pattern continued for many
years until they learned to create balance in their lives
in a way that worked for them.
Although Indigos tend to be grouped as an energy
type and certain characteristics associated with them,
they are really individuals and there is no general way
to address their needs. Many Indigos need to know
many different life circumstances before they can
choose the path that fits them best. This often takes
the form of sabotaging their own lives, abandoning
everything that we have worked so hard to teach them
and creating a level of chaos and drama that we, as
their parents, cannot tolerate so we have to detach
from them. But in the end, they will come back to what
they have learned.
My Indigo daughter reached a milestone in her life this
weekend as she received her Master's degree. This
took her many years as she, against my advice,
married young, had several children and set up many
obstacles to her fulfilling her dream of becoming a
psychologist. Her path could have been much easier
but she did not choose that for herself. And while I
have always supported her, there have been times
when I had to remind her that I did not make her
choices and she was going to have to figure certain
things out for herself.
In the end, our Indigo children, now young adults, will
find balance in their lives, a center where they can
create success for themselves. And although it may
appear that they reject everything that we taught them,
they do come back to us and what we taught them.
That might take years but we have to be patient with
them. That doesn't mean that we have to constantly
support or tolerate their bad behavior, just that we
must remind ourselves that we did our best and they
will have to figure certain things out for themselves.
Then they will find their path, act like nothing
happened and move forward towards fulfilling their
purpose. Once they get through this process, they
usually don't go back through it again, which is
something that we can look forward to.
