Happy new year! We held the
energy of 2009 until its final moment and now it is over. The
2010 predictions are now up and you can read them here.
This month's article is entitled A Purposeful
Life. What is our purpose in life, why are we here
and what are we supposed to do? We each want to know our
purpose, which we believe will answers these questions and
guide us on the best and right path. But our purpose is not
some grand and glorious thing we will do in the future. It is
happening within each moment and we are always in our purpose.

everything in your life serve your purpose? What do you do
when your purpose changes, your life expands and you must
choose between your new purpose or to serve

What Serves Your
Purpose?
As I write this two of my three children are preparing to
move into a new life purpose, one which will take them into
new territories, geographically, emotionally, mentally and
spiritually. To arrive at this point they had to make some
difficult choices about what was important to them, who they
would be influenced by and whether they would serve themselves
or others. Their biggest challenge was to decide what served
their purpose and to have the courage to follow that path,
even if it meant walking it alone. They had to look carefully
at their life and decide whether they were going to allow
their dreams to expand their purpose and then let their dreams
guide them to a new path. Their choice was to live according
to their purpose or to serve someone else.
The purposeful life is one in which we respond to the
call of our greatest dreams. Of course we want to follow our
dreams, isn't that obvious? But there are so many things that
can stand in our way or take precedence or put us in the
position of choosing between what we want, what someone else
wants or what someone wants for us. Family, friends, partners,
obligations and commitments all demand our time and energy,
which we give until we arrive at the crossroads where our
dreams challenge us to begin to think and live for ourselves.
Who do we leave behind and how do we deal with their
expectations?
When we are finished with a situation, as in being
complete in our healing and growth, energy begins to flow in
new directions. Our healing purpose is completed and now we
can follow another path, creating a new purpose for our lives.
Our spiritual aspect is comfortable with this process; it is
the emotions that get in the way. While moving on may serve
our purpose and help us move forward in our life, can we be
willing to release whatever is not in alignment with this
purpose? Remember, our purpose changes as our energy shifts,
so when we have completed healing, everything that has been
part of our healing journey is also complete.
How much of what you do serves others' dreams or
supports them in some way? How much serves your past and
issues that block your joy? How much of this are you willing
to release to create your new purpose? This is the challenge
of our crossroads of transformation, where many of us are now,
where we can create our new life purpose and release the old,
allowing the process of transformation to release the bonds of
the past to create a bright, new future. This is a choice for
each of us, to decide what serves our purpose and to co-create
that path in peace, joy and with gratitude and love for those
whose role in our life has been to help us find and be in
integrity with our
purpose.

Mother's Day
Mother's Day in the US was celebrated this weekend and it
is a day that affects us in many ways, depending on our
mother/child relationship. One of my friends spends this day
grieving her beloved mother who passed away a few years ago.
Another friend ignores this day and is angry with the mother
she has not spoken to for ten years. A childless friend cries
for the children she never had. Another visits her mother and
spends a joyful day. Each of these friends, and many of you,
has a different experience of the mother energy. Whether that
experience was wonderful or awful, it fulfilled a purpose in
your life and if you have not cleared your emotions around it,
you are neglecting an important aspect of your soul growth.
We expect our mother to meet our physical and
emotional needs in the way that will allow us to become
fulfilled, happy adults. But we forget that before our birth
we created a contract with the being who would become our
mother and worked out the ways that she would empower us and
provide the best path to healing. Lessons in power are rarely
easy and usually involved a lot of disempowerment, so we can
find our power within ourselves. While the 'Hallmark moment'
of motherhood is the sweet, gentle woman who wipes our tears
and bakes cookies, our experience of mother energy may be very
different. But each mother and child share a bond whose
purpose is healing, growth, forgiveness and transformation.
Our mastery journey evolves as we are able to clear
layers of energy and in every aspect of healing we come to a
point where we must extend compassion, forgiveness and
acceptance. This is the fork in the road for us and the next
step either takes us forward into enlightenment and ascension
or back into the past. As much as we want to grieve, rant and
rave, rage, regret our mother choice, or demand an apology,
the direction of our life path depends on our willingness to
master our emotions, including those we have about our mother.
No matter how your experience of the mother energy
played out in your life, it was part of your journey and you
were not an unwilling participant but a willing co-creator.
How do we cope with our experience of mother energy? We
separate the truth from the illusion. The truth is our
spiritual journey; the illusion is the material world. From a
spiritual perspective our mother is simply an energetic
manifestation of karma whose purpose is to help us heal. In
our material world mother energy is a lesson in emotions,
power and empowerment. Be your truth and you can shift the
illusion to whatever reflects your most cherished vision for
your reality and heal and release any aspects your past that
you are ready for, so the vision can
unfold.

Uriel's
Message -- Live Through Your Heart
Through your ascension journey you bring forth new
possibilities for connection into the realities you call your
life. For each reality you know, there are countless others
you have not yet considered. They wait for you to acknowledge
your potential, creative power, divinity and mastery. Each new
experience is simply new to you, as it has existed in your
field of potential for lifetimes, waiting for the right energy
to allow it to give birth. These new realities come into being
through your heart, as you move energies from the lower
chakras into your high heart.
Living through your heart is a new dimension of
being, where all life and every reality exists as a stream of
energetic potential. On the material plane and in lower
vibrations your heart is experienced as emotions. Within
higher dimensions your heart is experienced as pure potential
awaiting form. The emotions are always shifting, expecting,
demanding and judgmental. Potential is light centered,
unwavering, loving, detached and joyful. The emotions are
mirrors of the past; potential is held within the present
moment.
Within each of you is the light of God, the spark of
divine presence that is waiting to burst into the joyous
expression of your true self, that which is held within the
still, quiet presence of your heart. When this light is
connected to your emotions they expand your reality with the
manifestation of your highest potential and you witness the
birth of your divinity in human form. Then every aspect of
your reality resonates with the light from your heart and you
can know heaven on earth. Without light, the emotions stay
within their energetic cycles and are limited to their own
expression.
For each limiting emotion you feel there is a heart
centered truth you can use to transform it. Anger is lightened
by peace, fear by love, sorrow by joy and any limiting
illusion into unlimited truth. When you live through your
heart you are living fully within your Self, expressing the
glory of your divinity and expanding the reality you know into
the truth of your dreams. Humanity needs the example of
heart-based living so it can see beyond the limitations of its
illusions of fear and into the truth of its divinity. Greet
each person from your heart, send them light and be the light
for the world. As you expand your heart you also expand the
earth's energetic matrix and allow it to hold more light,
providing human with an ascension paradigm that will guide its
unfoldment to the fulfillment of the promise of heaven on
earth.

My friends tell me that I am someone they would want to
be in an emergency with because I am very self reliant, calm
and fearless in nearly any situation. This is true of most
Indigos, even though they may not want to be the one in
charge, they are always up to the challenge. So much that they
are willing to take on any challenge, even those that belong
to other people. This is one way that they show what they are
capable of and get others to acknowledge them and their
skills. But is it the best use of their gifts, time and
energy?
By meeting challenges and proving themselves capable,
they build their confidence. And sometimes they create
challenges just so they can overcome them. When they are
focused on taking on any challenge, they connect with the most
difficult people and situations and apply their gifts,
resources and energy to turn them around. Sometimes they
succeed and it takes a while, at other times the challenge is
so great they must walk away, feeling defeated. I know so many
Indigos who complain about their challenging jobs, partners,
family, children, friends and life. They were willing to take
on the challenge and this is what they created. Does any of
this strike a chord with you?
Indigos are capable but they need to be careful about
what they choose to work with. They can go full speed into
situations with a 'take no prisoners' approach that does not
allow them to ask questions, including the most important one
'Why am I doing this?' Helping others, solving problems and
demonstrating their fearlessness are many ways they can show
what they are made of. But who are they trying to impress and
what are they trying to prove? There are better ways to use
their gifts than solving others' problems.
What if Indigos took on the challenge of using their
gifts to their best advantage, to being capable and reliant
for themselves? It is something I have had to learn too and
have taught my children. One of my sayings in response to a
challenge is 'How hard can it be?' and then I found out just
how hard it really is, once I'm in it. Over time, Indigos
learn to use their energy wisely, in ways that benefit them,
they can share with others from their point of success, having
validated themselves, instead of taking on challenges for
others in the hope that they will be loved, appreciated and
validated.
