This week's messages
Active and Passive Connections
The energy that is around us responds to every
thought, belief and action. It does not discriminate or
judge and responds to us and to what we have asked
for without question. Whether we are using our power
consciously or unconsciously we are always
connecting with this energy to create our reality. If we
are creating things that we do not want, we need to
look at how we are using our power to connect with
the universal energy.
There are two ways to connect with this energy,
actively or passively. When we connect actively, we
ask for what we want, know that the energy is working
on our behalf and wait patiently for what we want to
manifest. Sometimes this happens quickly,
sometimes not. No matter how long it takes, we know
that we are connected and have faith and trust that
even if we cannot see what is happening, the
universal energy is working to bring us what we asked
for.
There are two ways in which we connect passively.
We either focus all of our energy on what we don't
want, such as saying things like 'I don't want to be
poor', or I don't want to lose my job', or 'I'm afraid I'll
never find someone to share my life with'. Or we ask
for what we want and then spend all of our time
convincing ourselves that it won't happen, we won't
receive it or we don't deserve it. Either way, when we
connect with the universal energy in a passive way,
the energy responds to exactly what we are thinking
and believing and everything we don't want appears
before us.
When we actively connect with the energy we don't
have anything to worry about. But most of us have a
somewhat passive connection and we don't always
have faith or think that we will get what we want. It only
takes a small amount of doubt to interfere with our
connection and delay or block the manifestation of
what we want. This week, look at how you are
connecting with the energy. Are you using your power
in an active or passive manner? Do you have faith and
trust? Or do you ask and then doubt that it will
happen? Once you are aware of how you are
connecting with the energy, you can change how you
use your power and connect in a way that ensures that
you will create the reality of your dreams.

Have the Normal People Left the Planet?
During the past two weeks I have been involved in a
number of dramas. This is unusual for me because
my life is generally fairly quiet, with very little drama.
Without warning, I was pushed into several situations
where I had to deal with difficult people who seemed
to be focused on creating situations where I had to
spend time defending myself and trying to mediate an
outcome that worked for everyone. This happened so
many times that I really began to wonder where all of
these people came from and whether the 'normal'
people had left the planet.
As I went through each of these situations (and they
were all alike in many ways) my first reaction was to try
to work my way through them. But that was
unsuccessful as the people involved simply would not
listen. Then I tried to ignore them but that did not work
either. Finally, I confronted the people, which made the
situation worse. Then I was reminded that these
people were shifting and they needed help. And I was
a healer and it was time to apply healing energy. So I
changed my focus and what I was doing and the
situations resolved themselves.
Those of us who have been going through the shift for
the past 3 or 4 years have shifted our energy so much
that we are like beacons of light and hope for the
people who are just beginning to shift. And they are
drawn to us. So much so that it may feel like every
difficult or cranky person in the world seems to find us.
But that is because they know that we can provide
them with the help and information they need to begin
their own shift work. But they approach us in a manner
that makes us want to run in the other direction.
We need to shift the energy of these situations so that
we can offer help without disrupting our own lives or
connecting with these people at lower energy levels.
We do this by remembering that we are healers and
our work is to help others raise their vibrations. Once
we learn to stay at our vibration level and not get
involved in drama we can be more effective in helping
those who come to us for assistance with managing
their shift experiences. By applying healing energy we
help others raise their vibrations, which is why they
came to us in the first place, and move into their own
healing process. This will continue over the next few
years, as another wave of people moves through the
shift. We were the pioneers in this process and now it
is time for us to show others the way.

Uriel's Message--Surrender to Joy
You set the energy of your reality by what you
surrender to. Surrender in this sense is not giving up,
it is an act of embracing and accepting. You can
surrender to any of the energies that are around you,
love, joy, peace and abundance or fear, sadness,
drama and lack. Each of these energies is present in
your life in varying degrees at every moment. What you
focus on is what you surrender to and as a result, it
becomes the predominate energy in your life.
Surrender to the joy in your life and allow joy to
become the energy of your reality.
When you choose to surrender to joy, you allow all of
the joy in every experience to reveal itself to you. Even
the most difficult situations contain an element of joy.
There is a blessing in all things. When you surrender
to joy you allow this energy to come to the surface so
that you are aware of its presence and how to connect
to it. This raises the vibration of the situation so that all
other energies that are not joyful will be removed. Joy
is the energy of the angels and when you focus on it
you make it easier to connect to them and receive their
guidance. It is also the energy of the Source and being
in joy allows you to remember the divine part of you.
Although it can be difficult to acknowledge joy when
you are overwhelmed by difficult experiences, it is
always present. You are here to experience emotions
but not to become controlled by them. It is possible for
you to manage the emotions you experience in the
same way that you create your reality. What you
surrender to is what you experience and as in all
things, it is a choice you make every day, with all
situations. Since you can choose your emotional
experiences, why would you choose anything but the
most wonderful and fulfilling ones?
This week, consider what you surrender to in your life
every day. Do you surrender to fear, lack or sadness?
If you are focused on these things, even if they are
present in your reality, you are surrendering to them.
Change your focus to acknowledge that there is joy in
all things. Surrender to the joy of every experience and
it will become the predominate energy of your reality.
As Lightworkers, you have come to create new
opportunities for joy, abundance, unconditional love
and peace for all. Choose to surrender to joy and
make this possible for humanity and create a vibration
of joy that is available to everyone, everywhere.

Today's Children--Recognize Indigo Accomplishments
When my Indigo son came home from school with a
high mark on a test he proudly put it on the
refrigerator. That is not unusual in our house, as I
always put my children's school and art work on the
refrigerator. But at the time, my son was in college, not
in grade school. I thought the incident was funny but
he was serious, he was proud of his work and wanted
everyone to see it and share in his accomplishment.
Since that time, I have noticed that every time
something good happens to him, he calls to tell me
and to get the encouragement and recognition he
knows I will give him.
It is very important that Indigos are recognized for their
accomplishments, no matter how small they are. Even
when their behavior is especially difficult, finding
something to praise them for can make a huge
difference for them. It may not be easy to do when they
are testing our resolve, patience and love, but it is
important because they need to know that they are
loved and valued and that they have done something
that we are proud of.
I have often written that Indigos have low self-esteem
and this is one of the reasons why they have such a
hard time expressing the potential that we know they
are capable of. No matter how smart, accomplished
or gifted they are, getting them to recognize,
acknowledge and use their gifts is nearly impossible,
until they are ready to do so. And getting them to that
point can be challenging. Once they start, the smallest
failure or disappointment can make them quit at any
moment and then they have a hard time getting
started again.
But giving them recognition for their
accomplishments, especially the small ones, will
remind them that they did something that we are
proud of. And they remember those things, even if they
do not acknowledge them or us at the time. It is easy
to become frustrated with them when they behave
badly and to find fault with and criticize their behavior. If
the criticism is accompanied by a larger dose of
praise and acknowledgement, they will remember that
they are not always wrong and that they do something
right occasionally. They will also be reminded that we
love and are proud of them, and that's what is
important.
