This week's messages
The Energy of the Past
The universal energy does not work within time or
space and we are told that time as we know it only
exists on the material plane. There is no past or
future, only the present moment. It is important that we
understand this as we create our reality so that we are
using the past and its energy in the right way. If not, we
will constantly re-create the past and all of its aspects
in the present.
When we work with the universal energy in a balanced
way we use our past experience as a learning tool that
helps us avoid obstacles as we create the future. We
take the information from the lessons we have
learned and move farther along our spiritual path. In
this way we use the past to help us create a different
reality that does not involve repeating experiences that
we do not want to repeat. An unbalanced use of the
universal energy focuses on the past so the past is
repeated in the present.
The past has its own energy that is both powerful and
compelling. If our past experiences are difficult and
painful, they can make us feel that we are imperfect,
unlovable and not deserving of better things in the
future. If we focus on those feelings of imperfection,
we use the universal energy to re-create experiences
that reinforce these beliefs and the present reflects
the past. Or we can be afraid to try something different
because we remember what happened before and
assume that it will happen again so we block our own
efforts.
But if we see the difficult experiences as indicators of
where we were not using our power and were not
working within our spiritual awareness we can
incorporate the lessons of the past as guidelines to
know where we need to step forward more powerfully,
to be more sure of ourselves and to trust in our ability
to create whatever we want in our reality. This week,
consider how you may be using the past to create your
present reality. Are you able to take the learning from
the past and create something different, or do you find
that the most difficult aspects of the past are being
repeated in the present? How are you using the
universal energy to create that and what do you need
to do to change it?

Waiting for Things to Happen
A client who has been going through some very
difficult issues for a while wonders why, despite all of
her positive affirmations, focusing on what she wants,
believing that it can be hers and staying positive,
although she is making progress one thing that she
wants the most is not happening. She is very upset
and feels that the universe is working against her, but
this situation involves the free will and karma of others
and until that has been completed and they are ready
to move on it will not change.
When we ask for something that is not ready to
happen yet it simply does not happen. And no matter
what we do, we cannot force the issue especially
when, as in this case, there are many lessons to be
learned and much karma to work through. When this
happens, our only alternative is to remember that
everything happens in divine order and when the time
is right the situation will change as it needs to. The
universe is not working against us, all souls involved
must be in agreement as to when the lessons are
completed and the situation can change.
The truth is that we don't always get what we want as
soon as we ask for it. Some things are manifested
instantly, others take time. There is no guideline or
benchmark, order of importance or magnitude. We
cannot know all of the lessons that others must learn
from their experiences, so we are unable to
understand how important their lessons are to them.
And we are not able to interfere with these lessons
because that violates others' free will.
What we can do is focus on what we want, believe that
it will happen and remember that the Universe hears
us the first time. Asking multiple times won't make the
process move forward any more quickly and delays
are simply a sign that other things need to happen
first. This is especially difficult when we are involved in
a painful situation and believe that manifesting what
we see as the best resolution will end our pain.
Learning to wait for things to happen means that we
trust our own power and in the Universe. And we will
ultimately receive what we ask for, at the right time.

Uriel's Message--The Aspects of Lessons
Each life circumstance is an opportunity to learn and
grow spiritually. Every lesson has many different
emotional and spiritual aspects and they work
together in a way that allows you to fulfill your
spiritual contract and your soul to accomplish what it
is here to do. The lesson is not complete until you
have reviewed and fully understand both of its
aspects. These two aspects are present in all
lessons and both are important. You understand them
and incorporate them on your spiritual journey when
you review your lessons once they are completed or
recognize them during the lesson.
The emotional aspects have to do with the feelings
that you experience. The emotions are often the most
difficult elements to understand because they
address your beliefs, power and understanding. A
lesson that tests your power provides you with the
ability to rise past your fear about being powerless.
One that tests the love you receive from others
challenges your beliefs about how much you love
yourself. A lesson that focuses on how others accept
you will bring forward all of the emotions you have
about not being accepted.
The spiritual aspects reflect your ability to remember
who you are, a divine spiritual being who is infinitely
wise and powerful. Each lesson tests your belief in
your divinity and Source connection. When you can
remove your focus from what is happening to you on
an emotional or physical level and remember that your
spiritual self requires this lesson to move forward on
its path, you activate your Source connection and can
allow the soul lessons to be completed. When you
focus solely on the emotional aspects, the soul's
learning is not completed. Without the spiritual
connection, your lessons do not benefit your soul's
growth. All must be in balance for your lessons to be
completed.
As with all things, learning lessons and incorporating
them on your spiritual journey requires a balance
between the material and the physical, between the
soul learning and emotional learning. When you focus
on one you lose the benefit of the other. The emotional
aspects of your lessons are as important as the
spiritual and both are required for you to incorporate
this knowledge on your journey. It is not necessary to
repeat lessons multiple times, once you have learned
what you need to know, by reviewing and
understanding the spiritual and emotional aspects of
a lesson, you can use them to create a more powerful,
peaceful and joyful reality for yourself.

Today's Children--Adult Indigos Acting their Age
The recent article on 'acting your age' received many
responses from readers who live with or know adult
Indigos who were described as immature,
irresponsible and didn't 'act their age.' The Indigo
energy didn't start with the current generation of
Indigos, it has been around for some time and many
parents of Indigos are Indigos themselves. They
experience the same emotional highs and lows, the
same energy shifts, confusion, frustration and anger.
Since they are older, they are not expected to behave
in the same way that we allow Indigo children to. But
they do and when that is inconsistent with what we
consider to be normal adult behavior, it is more than
frustrating.
Indigo adults learned all about the expectations of
adult behavior and while many tried their best to live
that way, at some point it no longer works for them. So
they quit their careers, leave their partners, sell their
houses and try to create a life that reflects who and
what they want to be. For those who are connected to
them, this can look like extremely irresponsible
behavior. While it looks that way, it is a reflection of
their inability to balance what is expected of them with
what they want to do.
While they raised their families many adult Indigos
worked and managed their lives in the way they were
expected to. But once that part of their lives was
completed, the pressure on them to 'act their age' or
according to adult expectations, was off and they could
do what they wanted to do. For some the release is so
great that they completely change every aspect of their
lives. For others they refuse to continue to 'act their
age' in one way or another by abandoning some part
of what they see as 'acting their age'. And for most of
them, it is the first time in their life when they can
experience their emotions outside of the expectations
that they have lived under.
This is not an easy time for Indigos of all ages. They
are experiencing a wide range of emotions with the
energy shifts that are occurring and these can make
them more confused and frustrated as they look for a
place in their world where they feel they belong and
are comfortable, where they can be themselves. For
those around them, communication, patience and
understanding are the best solutions to getting them
through these issues. For the adult Indigos, gradually
stepping into new experiences is better than wildly
initiating change for its own sake is best, although that
is not what they tend to do. As they learn about their
energy and find their place in the world, they will find
happiness and while they may not act their age, they
will be more comfortable with who they are and that
will help them accept the responsibility of 'acting their
age'.
