The Right Use of Power
There is really no right or wrong way to use our power,
any way we use it reflects our level of spiritual growth
and understanding. We can measure how we have
used our power through the results that we obtain.
The beneficial results, those that we enjoy and bring
us what we want, are obtained through the same
power as those that are less beneficial, the results
that bring us more of what we want to change or wish
would go away. The issue is not how much power we
have-we all have the same level of power-but how
we use it.
Realizing that we have as much power as anyone
else on the planet is difficult for many to accept. Does
that mean that we have as much power as the world's
wealthiest people, presidents and rulers and
corporate CEOs? Yes, we do. They have used theirs
to create what they want and we can use ours to
create what we want. But not if we are trying to create
what someone else has because we believe that it
will make us happier or we will be better off than we
already are.
We use our power in the right or best way when we
use it with conscious intention. Our intention must be
conscious, meaning that we are aware of exactly what
we are asking for because then we direct the energy
in the best possible way. And we can then focus our
full power on it and increase our chances of success.
The more we focus our intention on what we want, the
better our chances of having it appear in our life.
The wrong use of our power happens when we simply
do not acknowledge how much power we do have.
The results we receive will reflect how much power we
used to create what we want. When we use all of our
power, we can manifest spectacular results. The less
power we use, the less the results will reflect what we
ask for. This week, consider how you are using your
power. Can you acknowledge how much power you
have? Do you believe that you have as much as
anyone else? Practice using your power by
manifesting something you want and putting your full
power behind it. Refuse to even consider failure and
be prepared to receive.

Who Do You Depend On?
A friend called to complain about another friend who
had, once again, not been available as she had
promised. And my friend had waited for over an hour
for this person and was unable to honor several
appointments because she was without
transportation. During her story she said 'and I was
depending on her' three times. But she knew, from
prior experience, that this person was not dependable
as she constantly overscheduled and overcommitted
herself. Although my friend knew this she had
depended on her to meet her rather over-committed
day and had been disappointed.
We all depend on people for different things, from
giving us a ride to being there when we need to talk to
more important things, like honoring relationship
commitments and family obligations. Some people
are dependable and are there when we need them.
Others are not. At times, their lack of dependability is a
message to us that they do not want to us to depend
on them, so they violate their commitments because
they don't want to be available to us. Others make so
many commitments, as they want to be dependable to
everyone, that they cannot possibly meet all of them.
What is behind our dependence on others? For my
friend, it was the need to give someone another
opportunity to prove that she was dependable. She
believes that everyone should honor their
commitments and gives them the opportunity to do so.
And she frequently depends on people who, time and
time again, prove that they are not dependable. We
also depend on others when we want to be reminded
that we are important to them. If they honor their
commitments, we must be important. If not, then we
are not.
There are times when we must depend on others.
When I had a fire in my home last summer, I called
the fire department and they were dependable and
came right away. But when we depend on people who
constantly let us down, then we must look at our own
motives for giving them opportunities to prove to us
that we should not depend on them. And we must
also resist the temptation to make it about us. It is not
about us, it is about them and their issues. Do you
depend on people who are not dependable?
Consider why you are doing it and then look to other
resources.

Uriel's Message--Acknowledge Your Wisdom
Each of you is wise beyond your knowing and you
have all of the knowledge of the Universe at your
disposal. This knowledge does not exist in books and
cannot be learned in schools. It is the wisdom that
comes through connecting with your spiritual self, a
deep understanding of the connections between the
spiritual and material worlds and the wisdom that you
have brought with you at this time to walk the path that
you have chosen and to do the work that you have
come here to do. You do not need masters to teach
you this, you simply need to awaken to that which you
already know.
You do not experience anything new in any lifetime.
Each time you return to this plane you bring your
lessons with you. And until you learn what you need to,
you repeat them. When you connect with your inner
wisdom you have the clarity to see each lesson for
what it is and understand its purpose in your life. Then
you are free of it. Your wisdom comes from lifetimes of
experiences and is a valuable tool as it can provide
you with the clarity to recognize the lesson, know its
purpose and discover the learning. You do this when
you acknowledge your wisdom.
There is the belief that wisdom is gained through with
many years of study and education. That may be true
of material wisdom. Spiritual wisdom is yours by
divine right and is available when you accept that you
have it. When you acknowledge your wisdom you have
access to all of the knowing and learning that you
have accumulated across your lifetimes. And you can
use it to understand what your soul has come to
experience and make that learning process easier. It
does not matter how much or how little material
education you possess, spiritual wisdom provides
you with the knowing to create heaven on earth.
There is no measure of spiritual wisdom because it is
infinite. You connect to it by simply acknowledging that
it is yours. And then all of what you have learned is
available to you. When you acknowledge your wisdom
you gain clarity, so that life is no longer a mystery. You
are able to understand the karma between you and
those around you, understand the flow of energy from
thought to manifestation and know your soul's
purpose. No matter how much or how little material
education you have, you are infinitely wise in all ways.
At every moment, you have all of the wisdom you need
to create peace, joy and abundance in your life.
Connect with that wisdom by acknowledging it and
you will enjoy peace beyond understanding and
experience heaven on earth.

Today's Children--Acting Their Age
When I was growing up I was the oldest child and was
always expected to be more responsible than my
siblings. I usually was but sometimes my mother had
to remind me to 'act my age', meaning that I should be
more disciplined, obedient and responsible. This was
generally said to me when I was not being those
things. And sometimes, I didn't want to be but I didn't
have that opportunity. At that time, children were
expected to be responsible and many expectations
were put on eldest children. So, when I had my
children I was determined not to expect those things
of them. And it's a good thing I didn't because I would
have been disappointed.
It's not that Indigo and Crystal children don't always
act their age, they act many different ages at different
times. So much that it's hard to keep up with what they
are doing. For example, my oldest Indigo child is the
mother of three children but when we are together,
she often acts like a teenager with me. My Crystal
grandson, who is three years old, often acts like an
adult and wants to be treated like both an adult and a
child, depending on the situation.
Indigo and Crystal children do not follow the rules of
behavior that go with certain age groups and since
their parents do not have those expectations of them,
it can be difficult to know how to handle them. I believe
it is as confusing to them as it is to us, as they wanted
to be treated like adults one day and children the next.
What they find, when they go through the 'adult' phase,
is that the responsibility that goes along with that is
often too much for them to handle, so they try to step
back into childhood. For older Indigos, that's difficult
as they can make life choices before they are ready to.
So what do we, as parents, do? Understanding that
the old rules about age and behavior do not work with
these children does help us manage our expectations
of them. And they feel more comfortable knowing that
when they need nurturing (especially older Indigos),
they can get it from us. Crystals need simple rules
and structure, which they do much better with. The
world can be a confusing and scary place for them
and they tend to act up when they are uncertain of their
place in it. For all of these children, when we
understand what they are doing, it helps us manage
their behavior and provide them with the right tools,
information and support to help them.
