Fear of Love
We look for love in so many places and we often get
disappointed. Because what we are looking for is not
really what we want. Instead of love, we want to be
appreciated, we want someone to tell or show us that
we are wonderful, deserving of their attention, gifted,
talented, have something to offer that someone else
wants and is willing to give us their love in return for
our efforts. So we look for these things in every
situation, taking on demanding jobs, relationships
and life situations knowing that if we struggle hard
enough we will eventually find the love we seek. But
we're also afraid, not of love itself but that we won't get
it. Our fear of love can be as great as our desire for it.
How many times have we tried to make things work,
believing that if we tried harder, gave it one more
chance, changed ourselves, that we would get the
satisfaction we seek. And sometimes it works out the
way we want. But the price we pay can be very high.
Sometimes it doesn't work and we are disappointed,
disillusioned, believing that we are deficient in some
area, not able to gain the recognition we seek, not
finding the value that we hope will be given to us in
response to our efforts. Our fear of love has just been
proven to be true and we believe that we don't deserve
it or won't receive it, no matter how hard we try.
Our fear of love manifests in many ways. We choose
partners who are not able to meet our need for love,
we don't pursue our dreams, we don't accept a
challenging job out of fear that we will fail, we don't
follow opportunities because we are afraid of
disappointment, that we will be inadequate or that we
simply can't move away from wherever we are. Or we
can fear that others won't accept us, understand us or
acknowledge our efforts. The fear of love often
manifests as self-sabotage, when we stop ourselves
from succeeding out of fear that we will fail.
The fear of love can be healed by understanding our
real reason for wanting to be loved and moving out of
the focus on 'needing' love, in all of its forms,
to 'being' love for ourselves. The world is an illusion, a
hologram of our beliefs, perceptions, thoughts, words
and yes, especially our fears. When we acknowledge
the presence of unconditional love in every aspect of
our being, we face the world with an outpouring of
love and the world reflects that back to us. What is
your fear of love? Where are you afraid that you will not
receive the love you need in the form of value,
acceptance, and respect? Release your need for love
and be the love that you seek for yourself and watch it
unfold in every aspect of your reality.

Not That Sign, Please
In many readings clients tell me that they want signs
from the Universe and when I point out that the signs
are there but they are ignoring them because they are
not the signs they want to see, they have to
acknowledge that while they want confirmation of how
to proceed, they want conditional signs. These
conditional signs include areas that they don't want to
make choices about, or things they don't want to
acknowledge. The Universe is giving them signs; they
are just not paying attention. We ask the Universe for
signs and then create restrictions around the areas
we don't want to acknowledge or change.
Sometimes we like to live in the illusion that if we wait
long enough things will turn out the way we want them
to. And while have to focus on what we want, when our
expectations enter the picture we sometimes go in the
wrong direction. We know this when life gets hard,
things take too much effort or nothing is working. Then
we ask for signs but if our hopes are pinned on a
certain outcome we want the signs to show us that
things will turn out the way we hope they will. We're
asking for help but with certain conditions. We ask for
signs but as the Universe to exclude the ones we
don't want to see.
So we ignore the signs that come our way or think that
they are wrong or misinterpret them, all the time
hoping that we will get the sign that shows us we are
going in the right direction. But when we are focused
on our spiritual journey we get the Truth, without any
conditions. And our willingness to be on a healing
journey requires that accept the Truth that goes
beyond the truth that we want to hear. It is the Truth
that we must know, acknowledge and accept. The
signs are given to us but we have to get our
expectations out of the way.
Our challenge is to trust that whatever is not in our
Highest Good will be replaced with something that is,
as soon as we let go of our expectations and accept
the Truth that we are being shown. No matter how
much we may want something, if it is not right for us at
that time, it simply won't work. Life is supposed to be
an effortless flow of joy and if it isn't, we will be shown
where we are interfering with the process. When we
stop looking for an answer that we are not receiving
we will see the signs that point us in the direction of
the wonderful miracles the Universe is trying to help
us create and accept the signs we are given, without
conditions.

Uriel's Message--Surrender Everything
Surrender everything to the Universe and be in the
flow of the Divine unconditional love, a love that knows
no fear or doubt, that only knows the perfection of all.
Surrender every hope, dream, wish and desire.
Surrender your past, your fears, your disillusionment,
hopelessness and feelings of powerlessness. Give
these things as a gift to the Universe and step into the
healing energy of unconditional love. Be as a child in
your knowledge of your perfection and how deserving
you are of the miracles of abundance in every good
thing.
Be in a state of surrender every day, knowing that the
only moment that exists in the mind of the Divine is the
present moment. Within that moment only perfection
exists for the past is finished and the future has not yet
been created. In the present moment you stand on the
threshold of the future, each thought you have creates
the next step on your journey. When you surrender you
release everything that you believe and allow the
Universe to guide you on each step of your journey.
The Universe will never allow you to stumble and fall,
it is there to support you and be your unfailing guide.
Are your first thoughts of the day ones of regret, fear or
anger? Do you greet the new day with the burdens of
the past? Be in a state of surrender for you are always
as a new person in the mind of the Universe. The
Creator holds out the gifts of joy, peace, unconditional
love and abundance beyond your greatest dreams for
you. First you must be willing to surrender every
emotion, thought, belief and memory of any mistakes
you have made on your journey. For they do not exist.
Nothing in the past exists in the present moment.
You are moving into higher dimensions of being and
bringing heaven on earth. In heaven there is no past,
there is no fear or regret, nothing has happened-it is
all in a state of happening. Take time each day to
surrender your fears and hopes, your regrets and
dreams, your expectations and trust to the Universe.
When you are in a state of surrender you are open to
all blessings, willing to accept all miracles and know
that you deserve all that is given to you. Surrender all
to unconditional love and you will be rewarded with
peace, joy and a life of endless miracles.

Today's Children--My Child Has a Problem
Thank you all for the emails you sent about last
week's article. The Indigos who suffered drug
overdoses will recover, the family that experienced the
murder will take some time to heal. These situations
could have been avoided if the parents had been
willing to acknowledge that their children had
problems and to proactively address them. But there
is a stigma attached to drug addiction and children
from 'nice' families don't have these types of
problems. So the parents ignored every sign, refusing
to acknowledge that their children had a problem.
Indigos can be challenging, even after they become
adults. They don't suddenly grow up and change at
age 18 and transform into mature, responsible,
communicative people. Many of them will take several
more years to work through their issues and when
addictions are involved the process becomes even
more complicated. Indigos are especially prone to
addiction and once that happens it is very hard for
them to release those habits. They need our love and
support at a time when it is most difficult to be there
for them.
Acknowledging that an Indigo has a problem, that they
are out of control and spiraling into addiction or even
depression is difficult for parents. It means that they
have to get involved, they have to become proactive
and deal with the issue. Many parents are too
overloaded with their jobs or daily lives to have extra
time to pay attention. When a child is at an age where
they should be able to manage their own life, it is even
more difficult to accept that we need to step back into
full-time parenting just when we thought that struggle
was over. And acknowledging that a child has a
problem is too difficult for some parents to face.
But Indigos do have problems, sometimes serious
ones, and when they are ignored the results can be
disastrous. We don't have to broadcast our personal
problems to the world but we do have to acknowledge
that our children have problems when they present
themselves and seek the help that we need to get
them and us through it. Acknowledging that there is a
problem is the first step towards seeking help. Hiding
the truth only creates more problems. This is a difficult
time for Indigos and when they need help they won't
usually ask for it. We need to be aware of their
problems and take charge before the problems
become so obvious that we won't have any other
choice but face them.
