Learning to Let Go
Learning to follow the path of least resistance is a
challenge for us because while that path is always
available we must first release the belief that our path
is a struggle, life is hard and we gain or learn more if
an experience is difficult. But the path of least
resistance is the doorway into effortless living, peace
and joy, no matter how difficult our lessons are. Can
we step back and ask whether something fits our
energy and contributes to our life in a positive way
before we fall headfirst into a difficult situation? Then
can we let go of it?
In our role as healers and Lightworkers we take on
many challenges. On a soul level we know that we are
capable but on a human level it can be a real struggle.
This is especially true when a situation involves
someone else, a friend, romantic partner or anyone
we are closely connected to. Our healing connection
often propels us into taking on the role of managing
the situation and creating the best possible outcome,
often at the expense of our own peace and serenity.
We can choose to fight or we can choose to let go.
We always have a choice as to how involved we are in
lessons and when we can release them. But it isn't
that easy, especially when we are emotionally
committed or really want a particular outcome. Then
we get into full healing mode, doing all we can to
make things work. It's strange that we often work
harder and hold on more tightly at the times when the
lesson is about releasing and letting go. That is when
the path becomes hard-the less we are willing to let
go the harder the lesson becomes.
We don't need to be fully involved in everyone's
healing and sometimes acknowledging that we can't
help someone is a lesson for us. When a situation is
not right it is difficult, a constant struggle and drains
our energy. Lessons are meant to be life enriching,
where we learn something that helps us along our
spiritual journey. Being able to release what doesn't
fit, isn't right for us or is simply too hard puts us on the
easier path. What we resist holds important lessons
for us and is often an indicator of where we need to let
go, let ourselves take the easier path of least
resistance and create peace and serenity on our path.

Take Back Your Power
A consistent message in readings this week has
been the issue of taking back our power. The spiritual
path involves a fine balance between accepting and
rejecting, allowing and being proactive, and working
with energies for the Highest Good of all. But there are
times when we have to take a stand, when we have
given our power away and we have to demand change
or resolution. That process feels very 'non-spiritual'
but there are times when the only way to have our
needs met is to demand that we get what we want
and in situations where our power is being misused
(including by us), to take it back.
When it comes to our power, where do we give it
away? Many places, beginning with our lessons, other
people, experiences, situations, and the past. We give
it away when we offer healing without considering
whether the person is willing to do at least part of the
work for themselves. We give it away to our friends
and family and in situations that drain our time and
energy. So where do we draw the boundaries? At what
point have we given enough?
When we have no boundaries we are seen as a
beacon of healing light by those who need it. And they
will take as much power as we will give them until we
can give no more. Until we choose to stop giving our
power to others we will attract people who are happy
to have a freely available power source. This is an
important lesson for all of us now because this part of
the Shift involves learning to use our power wisely and
everyone is being asked to step into their power.
Those who feel powerless and feel they must get their
power from others will have to learn to do this for
themselves. Those who give their power away freely
will become more uncomfortable with this exchange.
Where is the point at which we draw our boundaries,
where we define what we will accept in our life and
then say 'no' with loving compassion? We are often
very good at accepting but have trouble rejecting
energy in a way that allows us to feel that we are
acting in integrity with our spiritual path. So we tend to
accept everything and reject very little, even if we don't
like the situation. But then we're giving our power
away and not allowing others to find and draw from
their own power source. This week, if you are in a
situation where you are giving your power away, create
boundaries and begin to close off the flow. Doing so
with love and compassion will give you back your
power and help others find theirs.

Uriel's Message--Expect Perfection
There is perfection and order in every part of the
Universe, including every part of your life. Nothing is
random, nothing occurs by chance. Even the most
chaotic and disorderly happenings are in perfection
and happen according to how they are manifested
and the energy they are manifested with. When you
expect perfection in all things you change your
perspective on what happens in your life. And you can
use this new perspective to manifest your reality in
different and more fulfilling ways.
Expecting perfection does not mean that everything
will happen in the way you imagine it. Manifesting
requires faith and trust and knowing that you are co-
creator of your reality. You work with the energy to
manifest your heart's desires. How that manifests is
only partially determined by you. Your faith allows you
to know that the Universe will orchestrate the outcome
that matches your vibration, intention and reflects your
level of spiritual growth and understanding.
Wanting a certain outcome creates expectations and
that is not the same thing as expecting perfection.
When you have expectations you are controlling the
creation process and that interrupts the flow of energy.
Expecting perfection is an acknowledgement of your
willingness to surrender to the process and know that
the outcome will be perfect for you, even if it is not
what you would have considered. The Universe is
aware of the infinite possibilities that are available to
you, of which you have very limited knowledge.
When you expect perfection you are willing to
surrender to life as a process of unfoldment, where
each step that you take creates possibilities in new
and different directions. Are you willing to trust that
miracles beyond your imagining are available to you?
By expecting perfection you allow the Universe to
bless you in wonderful ways and know that each
outcome is perfect for you. Do you need lessons in
faith and trust to teach you how to expect perfection?
Your life is perfect, you are perfect and all outcomes
are perfect. When you change what you manifest, you
achieve another level of perfection. And this is how life
unfolds for you, from one level of perfection to another.

Today's Children--Child Custody
One of the changes that has occurred with the
introduction of Indigo children is the way custody of
children is handled in divorces. There was a time
when the children were always given to the mother.
That is no longer the case. Fathers are demanding
equal consideration and sometimes are given
custody of their children. There is a reason for this and
it has to do with the lessons that the child has to learn,
which they can only learn by being with the other
parent.
Indigos came here to experience many different
aspects of life so they could have a deep
understanding of what they came to change. For many
of them this has been a real challenge as they have
had some difficult childhood experiences. Because of
Indigos we are much more aware of child abuse,
neglect, the effects of maternal drug use and many
other issues around parenting and families. Indigos
have truly exposed the dark side of the family
experience, which can be dark indeed.
Those who are separated from their mothers and sent
to live with a father or other relative have even greater
lessons to learn. In addition to the soul contracts they
have with these members of their soul group they also
have to experience their energy without the constant
emotional and spiritual support of their mother. They
may have chosen a difficult path but it is part of what
they came to experience. Whatever they learn will form
the foundation for their life journey and is an important
part of the foundation of knowledge they need.
I speak from experience here as I lost custody of my
daughter in a long and bizarre custody battle many
years ago. The outcome stunned me-I was a good
mother and had done nothing to deserve such a
harsh judgment. Now I understand her soul contract
and what she learned from this experience created
her life path as a family and parent counselor. She is
also pioneering a process that will make this kind of
court battle over children a thing of the past. This
experience can be devastating to those who go
through it but there is a greater purpose and reason
and our children, especially the Indigos, have a soul
contract that must be fulfilled so they can do the work
they came to do.
