The Language of the Past
One of the lessons of the Shift is to heal the past,
which will then free us to move forward in the present.
Until we heal the experiences of the past, they remain
with us in the present and form a foundation for our
future. But this does not mean that we have to review
the past in minute detail and re-experience it, event for
event. The proof of the past is all around us and is part
of much of our present reality. We can even see
evidence of the past in the way that we speak of
ourselves and to others.
When we use words like 'can't', 'don't', 'never',
and 'always' we are generally referring to something
that once happened to us, in the past, that we are
reluctant to repeat. And those words are generally
used in a negative context. Consider the phrase 'I'll
never do that again,' or 'that always happens to me'
or 'things never work out for me'. Do they have a
positive or a negative meaning to you? If someone were
to say them to you, would you think that they were
referring to a positive experience or a negative
experience? How many times do you use those phrases
to describe your own life situation right now?
Remember that our words and thoughts create our
reality and everything that we say or think has an
impact on our reality. Without exception. That is how
powerful we are. So despite the negative experiences
of the past, if we are to keep ourselves living in the
present moment, we must begin to watch what we say,
to choose our words carefully and to recognize that the
lessons of the past are part of our learning experience.
They were never meant to create pain that would carry
over into the rest of our lives. They were there to
teach us a spiritual lessons from which we could gain
knowledge that would make the future better and
easier for us.
As you go through your day and thoughts of the past
come to you, monitor your responses carefully. Be
grateful for your past experiences, no matter how
difficult they were, because they provided you with the
tools that you now have to make different choices.
Pain from the past can create understanding or more
pain; it is always our choice how we interpret what
happens to us. We are so powerful that we can use our
thoughts and words to create our reality. The Shift will
teach us to create a reality of joy and abundance when
we stop using the language of the past to manifest the
present.

remember the past. In this week's article, we look at
how we speak, about ourselves and to others, keeps
the past in the present. If we are not careful, we can
create many of our past experiences in our present
reality simply through the words that we use.
This week's Today's Children article discusses the
determination of Crystal children and how the 'do it
because I said so' parenting style does not work with
them.

Getting Help from Healers
The Shift is changing our energy patterns and creating
new and different vibrations for us. This can generate
some interesting physical symptoms that can make us
wonder what is going on with us. Some people
experience physical symptoms such as great fatigue,
heart palpitations, thirst, hunger, and muscle aches and
twinges. Others experience these symptoms on an
emotional level, feeling depressed, emotional, listless or
drained. No matter what types of symptoms that you
feel, there are resources that you can utilize to get
some help in re-directing the energetic changes in your
body.
For most of our lives, many of us have lived with our
emotional energy centers stuck in one of the three
lower chakras. (see the October article on 'Our Shifting
Emotional Energy Center in the Archives). As this
energy starts to move to become centered in the heart
chakra, it begins to bring up old patterns, memories and
emotional residues that must be cleared out. That is
why many of us feel very emotional and can find
ourselves bursting into tears at the slightest
provocation. Or we feel depressed and do not know
why. This energy shift is very powerful but must move
the old energy residue out of its way. It is also possible
to catch severe colds as this energy is moving, as
many people are doing at this time.
If too much emotional residue is in the way of the
changing energy, we may need to get help from various
types of healers and energy workers in order to help
move the energy out. I have found acupuncture to be
very beneficial for me, as well as various herbs and
teas that help me get through my own energy shifts. If
you have felt the need to see a chiropractor, a
naturopath, or suddenly find that certain types of
energy workers are suddenly placed in your path, it
may be time for you to work with one of them to help
you with the energy shift. You may not need to work
with them for a long time, but just long enough to help
move the energy and clear out the residue so that the
new flow patterns can be set.
Remember that we have lived with our 'stuff' for many
lifetimes and our energy patterns have become firmly
established. When the energy starts to change, as it is
for all of us now, we will feel its effects and it is not
always comfortable. Do not feel that you are
incompetent if you are unable to do this by yourself.
We are all undoing eons of energetic patterns and that
is hard work-it is hard on us physically and spiritually.
So if you feel the need to see a healer, know that you
are being directed to do so because it is right for you.
As the Universe or your guides and angels to send you
to the right person and they will appear on your path.
Work with them for as long as you feel you need to.
Then you can move the energy more quickly and
efficiently for the next phase of the Shift and not suffer
the emotional and physical symptoms as severely.

Uriel's Message
Imagine a banquet spread out before you, with every
kind of food you can imagine. Everything is beautifully
presented, quantities are unlimited and you can have
anything that you desire and as much of it as you
want. Before you get to the table of food, however,
you must choose the plate on which you will place the
food. The plates available to you are in a variety of
sizes, from a very small bread plate to a large platter.
The plate that you choose determines how much of the
food from the banquet that you will be able to put on
your plate. Even if they are starving, some people will
choose the smallest plate, thinking that they do not
deserve more than that or they are unwilling to look too
greedy and choose a larger plate. Others choose the
largest plates, not because they think that they
deserve more but because they are afraid that the food
will go away before they have the opportunity to eat
their fill. Or they believe that they deserve the most
and certainly more than others. Some will choose no
plate at all. Only a few will actually choose the plate
that they want simply because it appeals to them.
The banquet represents the unlimited abundance
available to you, spiritually and materially and the
plates represent what you are able to accept in your
life in terms of joy and abundance. Whatever size plate
you believe you would choose, and no matter how
much food you would put on your plate, your choice is
determined by how much you believe you deserve. If
you will look at your own life as a banquet, you can see
that perhaps it is time for you to choose a bigger plate.
For if you do not have enough of anything in your life,
it is not that it is not available to you-it is simply that
you must choose to create and to accept more of what
you want.
There are no limits to the abundance of the Universe
and that is very hard for humanity to accept. Living in
societies where only a few seem to enjoy the 'best' and
the 'most' of everything, many of you can feel that
there is only so much to go around and there is not
enough for everyone to have everything. And indeed, if
everyone had an opportunity to have everything, there
would be no need or opportunity for comparison. No
matter where you are in your life, choose to look at the
banquet of possibilities before you and learn to enjoy
the feast that is set before you. Even if the plate that
you have chosen in the past is small, you can change
your choice at any time and choose to enjoy bountiful
quantities of the unlimited banquet that the Universe
makes available to you, every day.

Today's Children-The Determined Crystal Energy
The new article on today's children is now available on
the website. This month's article is about the truth
that these children are revealing to us about ourselves,
our lives and our world. This generation is known by
many names, including Indigo and Crystal Children, Star
Children, Light Children. Whatever name they are known
by, they are a generation that we have never seen
before and they have special needs, gifts and talents.
The Crystal and Indigo children represent the new,
higher energetic patterns that are arriving to change
the Earth's vibrational frequency.This new series
provides information on these children and the
wonderful gifts they bring to the world.
When my Crystal son was nearly two years old, he was
fascinated by the water that came out of the
refrigerator door. Every day he would toddle over to
the refrigerator, stand on his tiptoes and try to touch
the bar that controlled the water. And each time I
would look at him and say 'don't touch that.' He would
turn and look at me as if to say 'I'll touch it if I want
to.' This went on for several months until one day, he
was tall enough to touch it. And of course, cold water
came out of the spigot and hit him right between the
eyes because he was standing directly underneath it,
looking straight up at the spigot. He fell over
backwards, took a deep breath, cried for a few minutes
and then, after I picked him up and dried his face,
refused to look at the refrigerator. In fact, for a long
time, he would not go near the refrigerator. Nothing I
said would make him change his mind about trying to
touch that bar. Even when I held him up to it, showed
him that water came out of it and how cold the water
was, he was determined to touch it for himself. And
that is what is so unique about Crystal children, their
determination to do what they want to do, no matter
what anyone tells them. This extends not only to what
they want to do, but also to what they know about
themselves and the world. While the Indigo generation
is rebellious and will try different things to get what
they want, Crystals know what they want, will not
back down and are not willing to change. They know
what they know and no one will tell or show them any
differently.
Their conviction in what they know will serve them well
as they will enter into a world that is much different
than what we have today. With strong connections to
Spirit, they will be the first generation to actually live in
the world 'between the veils,' able to incorporate their
spiritual beliefs into satisfying their material needs to
create something that is much different than what we
know today. Their determination allows them to
continue to see and communicate with the spiritual
world, even if everyone around them disagrees with
them. Their determination allows them to know what
they know and not waver from that belief, no matter
what anyone tells them.
Now that my Crystal son is a young teen, he still has
an absolutely unshakable determination to move in the
direction that he believes is right for him. Getting him to
do what I want means having discussions about issues,
instead of my taking a 'do it because I told you to'
approach, which is how may of us who now parent
Crystal children were raised. That is the 'old' way of
dealing with children that, in the case of Crystals, can
do them a great deal of harm on a spiritual and an
emotional level and can make them resentful and
argumentative. And, if they say 'yes' to your face and
they will find a way to do what they want to do behind
your back! Our own parents were unfamiliar with the
concepts of honoring children's opinions. That simply
was not done. Children were to be 'seen and not heard'
which mean that what they wanted or thought didn't
count. That has changed and the Indigo and Crystal
children represent generations that we must learn to
work with and listen to. As parents, it is time for us to
acknowledge that children are as no less than we are
and that even though they are smaller in stature, on a
spiritual level, we are all equal. If you have been
fighting with your Crystal child over even small matters,
try taking a more diplomatic approach, considering the
limitations of their age and emotional maturity.
Remember that Crystals are so spiritually advanced that
many of them do not even consider themselves to be
children! Addressing their needs through discussion and
compromise will bolster their confidence and show them
that you honor their needs and opinions, even if you do
not do everything that they want you to. Above all,
remember that we, as parents, are preparing them to
eventually enter the world and we must do so by
honoring and acknowledging their gifts.
