Experiencing the Journey
Our life journey is created to fulfill the spiritual contract
we made before we were born. Every experience that
we could have during our lifetime was developed in
great detail. We even developed multiple variations of
lessons, any one of which was possible, depending on
the choices we made. These different variations come
into play when we choose how we will experience our
journey, either emotionally or spiritually.
When we choose an emotional experience of our
journey, the peace, joy and abundance that we could
experience in our life becomes dependent on our
emotional interactions with others. If they are happy
and satisfying, then our journey is easy. But if they are
difficult, our journey can become overwhelming. And
the options available to us are limited until we learn to
deal with our emotions and change our perspective.
Choosing to experience our journey from a spiritual
perspective is the real purpose of our journey. And it is
a choice that we can take multiple lifetimes to make.
This choice helps us find the connections between the
lessons and experiences and change our journey from
karmic to self-directed. Until we can make the spiritual
choice our life journey is merely a repetition of the past
whose purpose is to learn to choose the spiritual.
Once we make the choice to experience the journey
from a spiritual perspective all of the life options that
have a higher frequency are available to us. Now we
can transcend our destiny, to step away from the
karmic path and move into the path of 'heaven on
earth' which is the fulfillment our soul's ultimate
purpose for our journey. When we choose the spiritual
our rewards are limitless and our lives are filled with
peace, joy, abundance and unconditional love. This
week, consider how you are experiencing your journey.
Is your life filled with drama and problems? You may be
choosing an emotional experience. Take a spiritual
focus by looking at the bigger picture, the lesson you
chose to learn and how everyone in your life is helping
you to learn that lesson. Then, forgive and release and
you can move on.

Who Loves You?
This week we will celebrate Valentine's Day, the day on
which we express our feelings to those we love by
sending flowers and giving cards and gifts. As in past
years, I won't be receiving flowers from a special
someone or having a romantic dinner. The Shift has, for
many reasons, kept relationships out of my life, as it
has for many Lightworkers. But instead of being sad
because I won't have the romantic experience of
Valentine's Day, I will be grateful for the many people in
my life that I love and who love me.
Lightworkers seem to have lives that do not follow a
normal path and this is most obvious in the area of
relationships. I know many Lightworkers who have not
had a romantic relationship in several years. And it can
be hard to focus on how lovable, perfect and loved we
are when we may not have that reflected in our lives
(with a fulfilling romantic relationship with someone).
We may have the spiritual understanding of those
concepts, but we're still human and it would be nice to
have someone to mirror those things for us. And we will
in time.
The focus for us is to learn to love ourselves and to
work on ourselves before we are given the opportunity
to become involved with someone else. There was a
time when we worked out our issues around
relationships with others. My guides tell me that we no
longer have to spend our energy in this way and it is
too difficult and time consuming for us so we have to
do the relationship work within ourselves by creating
loving relationships with ourselves first. Then we can
apply what we have learned by creating the perfect
relationship with someone else.
So rather than spend time being sad because our
Valentine's Day experience is not similar to the ones
that we see on TV, we can spend the day loving what
we have in our lives, beginning with ourselves. Loving
and appreciating ourselves is what it takes to make
ourselves emotionally available for the relationship of
our dreams. And we can spread that love and
appreciation to all of the people in our lives who love
us, perhaps not in a romantic way, but who show us
their love by being our friend, mentor, advisor or who
are grateful to us for being part of their life.

Uriel's Message-Recognize Your Options
What are your options in life? Can you imagine yourself
being everything that you want to be, living each
moment in the way you want to live it and experiencing
joy in all that you do? Can you see these as options for
yourself or do they only exist in your daydreams? Your
options include not only all of the possibilities that you
can imagine at this moment, but also a limitless number
of options that you have not yet begun to perceive.
You have glimpses of these other options in your
dreams, when you wish or when you have a strong
desire to do something else. They come to you when
you focus on what you want and can do, instead of
what you cannot do, what has passed you by or what
seems to be impossible. The impossible only appears
that way because you see it from the limitations of
your mind. Each time you move into a higher vibration,
by releasing fear and trusting in the Universe, you also
move into a different range of options for your reality.
Everything that you want, that is in your dreams, and
that you wish for is an option for you because its
energy is around you, waiting for you to connect to it.
What you do in the moment between asking for what
you want and then choosing to believe whether it is
possible or not determines whether that connection will
be completed. Recognize your dreams as options for
your reality. Whether or not you connect with them is
up to you. Whether or not your dreams come true is
also up to you.
What are your options? They are everything that you
are passionate about, believe in with your whole heart
and can see yourself doing with joy. When you
recognize them as options you connect with their
energy and bring them into your reality. The process is
simple and requires that you believe in yourself and in
your abilities. You would not want something that you
were not capable of doing or having because you could
not connect with its energy. You recognize your
options by removing all doubt and limitations and
focusing on what you are passionate about, what
brings you joy. This week, consider what your options
are. You will find them in your dreams and in what your
heart says to you. Once you recognize what they are,
you can begin to connect to them and bring them into
your reality. Then you can manifest the life of your
dreams and create even greater options for yourself
and for others.

Today's Children--Ultimatum or Compromise
Because I was raised by very strict parents who forced
me to accept their rules (which I often rebelled
against), I decided that I would treat my own children
differently and focused more on compromise instead of
giving them ultimatums for their behavior. While we still
had rules, my approach was to compromise when we
had disagreements instead of imposing my will because
I was the parent. And since I had Indigo and Crystal
children, this approach was, I later learned, the best
for them.
Although the Indigo and Crystal energy is different, it is
similar in one very distinct way. Neither of these groups
will accept or respond to ultimatums or orders. While
they may react in different ways, their energy is not
capable of responding to others' rules, especially those
they don't agree with. Indigos will argue, disagree and
refuse to cooperate. Crystals, on the other hand, will
just ignore them. If I issued ultimatums to my Indigo
children, I knew I was in for a battle, even if they knew
I was right. It was not what I said, just the way I said
it that they disagreed with. My Crystal son just acted
like he didn't hear me because he wanted an
opportunity to talk about it and make a choice.
I spent some time with my Crystal grandson this
weekend and at one point asked me to come with me
into the kitchen so that I could keep an eye on him. He
kept on playing and ignored me and then told me, after
I had asked him several times, "I'm busy right now." It's
not something that I would have told my mother and I
could have forced him to go into the kitchen with me,
with lots of tears and protest. Instead, we
compromised and he brought his toys in the kitchen.
And we were both happy with that.
There is so much that we do because we have been
given ultimatums for our behavior or following rules.
Indigos and Crystals really don't care about these
things. They are here to change the way we do things
and they do that by pointing where we have accepted
others' ultimatums about how things should be or what
we should do. By refusing to cooperate or honor them
they raise the question that may not have been raised
before, of why we are doing those things. The changes
they are creating will not happen overnight but through
consistent pressure, they will force change. Over time,
we will begin to question, as they do, what we are
accepting and why. Because those of us who are
parents to Indigos and Crystals have decided that we
will raise our children differently, we approach parenting
from a position of compromise, rather than issuing
ultimatums. And for these children, it is the best and
easiest way to make everyone happy.
