Changing Our Path
When we learn to live a miraculous life everything
unfolds effortlessly for us. Our every need is met and
we step into the flow of the Universal energy. Our lives
are problem free because everything that was once an
issue is simply handled. First, though, we need to
understand that miracles are not about magic or
supernatural processes, they are about change. When
we ask for a miracle we are asking for things to be
different-and we must be willing to view ourselves and
our life from a different perspective. Creating miracles
means changing our path. Can we handle the change?
There is no order of magnitude for miracles, one is not
better than another. Each miracle that we create
responds to something that we want to manifest in our
lives. And that involves changing our current reality.
So, in order to manifest a new job, the one we have
must change. A new relationship replaces an existing
one or introduces someone new into our lives. These
create a change in our reality that is not better than
what we had, it is just different. And we must be willing
to change before miracles can happen.
Most of us resist change until we are at the point
where it must happen. Even if our situation is
uncomfortable, it is sometimes easier to stay with what
we know than open the door to the unknown. If
miracles do not happen for us, it may be because we
are resisting the change that needs to occur in order
for our miracles to happen.
We recognize the need for change when we are ready.
So there is no right or best time to change, it is
something that we do when we feel brave enough to
allow the unknown to unfold in our lives. Our willingness
to change is not a promise that everything will always
be wonderful-we may still have issues and periods of
confusion, but when we are willing, we set aside our
fears and provide the Universe with the opportunity to
work with us to create the miracles we have asked for.
And this changes our path in ways that we cannot
even imagine and allows the reality of our dreams to
unfold before us.

Happy new year to you. May 2007 bring your your
heart's desires. The January article is posted on the

Creating a Miraculous Life. Each of us has the power
to create miracles, we just have to know what to ask
for, how to ask and how to use this energy. Miracles
are all about change. When we ask for a miracle, we
are really asking for something in our reality to change.

The Value of Procrastination
Although I am not usually in the habit of putting things
off, occasionally I find myself unable to start something
that needs to be done. I do many other things, like
clean my closet, start something else, work in the yard,
or read, fully aware that there is something else that I
should be doing. But I just can't start it. Then, with the
deadline in front of me, I have to rush to finish it,
which then means that I have to drop everything else
to finish this one project and focus all of my energy on
it. Taking care of it earlier would have been easier for
me but I have learned that when I procrastinate I have
something to learn.
Sometimes we procrastinate because we committed
ourselves to something that we do not want to do.
Other times, we are afraid that we won't be able to do
something well or will not have the results we want, so
we don't want to begin. Whatever the reason, when
we put things off we are provided with an opportunity
to explore our feelings and learn a lesson. If another
person is involved, it could be a learning experience for
us, where we explore how we commit to doing things
for others and why.
Judging ourselves for our lack of motivation or
criticizing our inability to focus on what needs to be
done is not very helpful. There is a reason for
everything that we do. And sometimes our inability to
do something tells us everything about what we need
to learn about the situation. Does the same person ask
us for favors all of the time? Did we say 'yes' when we
meant 'no'? Is it something that we really dislike doing?
Are we too busy and just need a break?
We often feel that we are under pressure to say 'yes'
even though we would like to say 'no'. Then we should
not be surprised that we procrastinate. And there is a
lesson there for us to learn. Should we check our
schedule before agreeing to new commitments? Is this
an opportunity for us to practice saying 'no'? Can we
put ourselves first and ensure that we have time to
take care of our own life? Procrastinating is not a sign
that we are lazy or unmotivated; it is an opportunity
for us to learn yet another lesson and move forward on
our path. This week, if you are procrastinating, use the
opportunity to explore your feelings about the issue.
Honor your feelings and use this information to make
different choices the next time the situation comes up.
Don't be too hard on yourself and see this as another
lesson learned on your journey.

Uriel's Message-The Purpose and Meaning of Your Lessons
Each of your lessons has purpose and meaning. The
purpose is to guide you on your path and assist in your
spiritual growth. There are two aspects to the
meaning. The spiritual meaning is one of healing and
understanding. The other meaning is one that you
choose for it. When you have completed a lesson it
represents new knowledge and understanding and is
something that you can use on your path. Whether you
can use your lessons as tools on your spiritual journey
depends on whether you understand the purpose and
the meaning that you give to them.
Each of your lessons has a purpose and therefore has
value. The purpose may not be obvious to you until
long after you have experienced the lesson or even
until you encounter the lesson again. Lessons are never
a punishment, they are simply ways in which you learn
to use your gifts and power. And the purpose of all
lessons is the same, to help you realize and
acknowledge your divinity, your power and your Source
connection.
The spiritual meaning is also the same for all lessons.
But each of you assigns your own meaning to them.
When you view them from the perspective of judgment
and criticism, seeing yourselves as having failed to do
better or to choose differently, you diminish their value.
In each moment, you choose and act according to the
best of your ability. Each lesson provides you with
something to learn, a way to choose and a direction for
your path. The choices are limitless but you choose
according to your ability in the moment.
If you will see your lessons as what they are from their
spiritual purpose and meaning, a step that you have
chosen to take on your spiritual journey, whose
purpose is to enable your healing, you can view them
with detachment. Then you can use them to choose
from a position of power. Your lessons can help you
step into your power and have no power over you,
other than that which you give them. This week, look
at your lessons with detachment so you can find their
purpose and meaning. Can you step out of judgment
and fear and see their value? Do you see how they
have helped you on your spiritual journey? Doing this
will help you find peace and joy in your life, no matter
what lessons you face.

Today's Children--Helping Us Help Ourselves
I receive many questions from parents of Indigo and
Crystal children. The questions are about many topics,
but focus mainly on behavior. Many parents wonder
why their Indigo children are so unmotivated and
stubborn in their refusal to do what needs to be done
to be more successful. Some of them are heartbroken
that their children seem to be making difficult life
choices. Others are frustrated by adult children who
won't 'grow up' and get on with their lives. One parent
wrote that this is not how her generation did things.
True, but these children are different and our
expectations cannot be the same for them.
My Indigo children required that I participate much
more in their lives than my parents ever did with me. I
never asked for help with my school work, moving back
home after I left was not an option and my parents
were not involved in the details of my adult life. Where
we may have been more self-sufficient than our Indigo
children seem to be, our Indigo children depend on us
for advice and support. And we're there to give it to
them. We also work with them and through this
process, we help ourselves as much as we help them.
While the Indigos did come to change the world, that
does not imply that they will do it by themselves. In
fact, the real value of their energy is realized when we
work with them and help them with whatever they
need to do. Change is not going to occur, either
individually or on a global basis, without our
participation. As parents, we are part of the former
process and we will be part of the new one. Our Indigo
children will do the work, but they won't do it without
our help.
Every Indigo child that is at the forefront of change
has either a parent or other adult group behind them.
All Indigo children need our support, even if we have to
give it silently. We don't have to agree with what they
are doing and we can't make choices for them but we
do need acknowledge their choices. They also need to
someone to talk to and to help them manage their
energy. That is where we step in. If we wait for them
to do it by themselves we will miss the opportunity to
use this amazing energy to its fullest potential. Our
children may not always ask for help but we know them
well enough to know when it is time to sit next to them
and be a supportive presence in their lives. They will
help us, and the world, but in a way that allows us to
help ourselves in the process.
