How to Ask for a Miracle
Our lives can consist of a constant flow of miracles,
where our every need is met in wonderful and creative
ways. When we step into this flow of miracle energy
our lives become effortless and all we have to do is ask
for what we want and it is available to us. But like
children in a candy store, we become anxious when we
have to ask for what we want. We wait and deliberate,
wanting to make the best choice. And then we're afraid
that our miracle won't happen. So we stop the process
before it can begin. In order to create miracles we
have to learn how to ask for what we want.
There are a few other factors that are part of asking
for a miracle. We have to ask for what we want,
believe that we can have it and, have faith and trust
that it will happen. We must also believe that we
deserve our miracles and that because we are
connected to Source, we deserve every good thing.
And we must detach from the outcome, meaning that
we cannot anticipate or expect how the miracle will
manifest or even when it will happen. And then we
must wait, knowing that because we asked for a
miracle, it is on its way to us.
We must ask without fear because when we are in fear
we are not in our power and miracles happen when we
are connected to our power. The most dire situation
can be resolved by a miracle but we must also realize
that we created that reality. And we do have the
power to change it. Did we have a lesson to learn and
are we ready to walk our path without pain? Then all
we have to do is ask for a miracle and the Universe will
respond.
The Universe never judges the value of our requests-
we do that when we don't ask for what we want
because we think it's too much, too hard or too
impossible. The Universe responds to whatever we ask
for, no matter how big or small. Miracles occur in our
lives every day. Whether we are aware of them or not,
they are there. We receive miracles by asking for them
and practicing does help. So, practice your miracle
skills this week by asking for what you want. Ask for
anything, both big and small. We are not limited to a
certain amount of 'miracle energy' in our lives. Miracles
are always available to us and if they are not occurring
in your life, perhaps you are not asking. Then trust,
have faith and believe that you deserve to have
everything that you are asking for. And watch the
miracles occur.

Happy new year to you. May 2007 bring your your

Is it Your Fault?
Who is at fault when life's unpleasant events occur? Is
it your fault if you lose a job, a relationship or miss an
opportunity? Do you feel that you have to blame
yourself when you can't seem to get ahead or make
things work in your life? Is it your fault when you can't
resolve others problems for them or help them heal?
When you experience these things, do you feel bad,
unhappy or powerless? We tend do look at who is at
fault when there are problems but it would be more
helpful and effective to look at this issue in terms of
responsibility.
When we look at issues through the lens of who is at
fault, we are looking for someone to blame, whether
that is us or someone else. And then we begin the
cycle of judgment and criticism, reviewing the past and
seeing every misstep, every mistake and every bad
decision. But that is not the purpose of these
situations. They are there so that we can make
decisions about how we act and respond to our reality.
Each time we blame ourselves for something or feel
that it is our fault, we are finding ways that we are
wrong or did the wrong thing.
In the eyes of the Universe, we are always right and
everything that we do is perfect. And each choice and
decision that we make is not only right for us at the
time that we make it, it is the only choice that we are
aware of. Instead of blaming or finding fault with
ourselves, we should focus on our responsibility. We
are responsible for our reality and everything in it. So
instead of making a mistake, we made what seemed at
the time to be a responsible decision. If the results are
not what we desired, we will have another opportunity
to make a different choice.
Sometimes it seems that we do everything wrong but
we're looking at the results, not the situation. And
we're living in the past, not in the present moment.
When we make choices out of fear, guilt,
powerlessness or a lack of faith and trust, the results
reflect that. When we make choices with power, faith
and trust and unconditional love we get different
results. Instead of finding fault, we should take
responsibility and remember that we have the power to
create different results when we act from a different
vibration. If you feel that something is your fault, look
at it from the lens of responsibility. And remember that
the same power that you used to create the situation
will be used to create something different. Be
responsible, not at fault, and you can stop blaming
yourself, remember your perfection and work towards
creating the reality that you desire.

Uriel's Message-How Do You Serve Others?
You are here to serve others, to be a light for them, to
participate in their lessons and to help heal humanity.
You are also here to serve yourself, to heal your karma,
to enable your soul's growth and reconnect to the
Source. Your challenge is to find a balance between
serving others and yourself so that you can accomplish
the tasks that you established for yourself in this
lifetime and even go beyond that. How you view your
role in serving others is an important part of this
process.
If you view your role as a servant to others as
consisting of being responsible for their problems, being
constantly available and creating a positive outcome in
all things for them, you have undertaken the task of
being responsible for their healing. This is a good effort
but one that will fail as each person is responsible for
their own healing. And it will take your focus from
serving yourself. If you participate in their lessons by
living their pain and without establishing boundaries for
your involvement, you will be so caught up in their
healing that you will not have time for your own. When
you do these things, you affirm their powerlessness and
their inability to experience and learn from their
lessons.
When you view your role as a servant to others as
being a light in their lives, you acknowledge their
power, the value of their lessons and their responsibility
for their reality. You will be given opportunities to help
them and will decide how to do that in a way that
honors their power and ability to heal themselves. If
you treat each person with unconditional love and non-
judgment you bring them into the light and allow them
to find their own path to healing. They will make the
choices that they are able to make and you have
completed your role in serving them. Sometimes the
greatest way to serve others is to allow them the
freedom to experience, learn and heal from their own
lessons.
Those who choose to not heal have made a powerful
choice for themselves, one that you cannot change.
You can be a light in their lives, a light that they can
accept or not according to their own level of spiritual
growth and understanding. Each of you is here to serve
yourselves and others, to be a light for the world, to
heal and to reconnect to Source. Finding the balance in
these roles benefits everyone as each person is able to
act within their power and create healing in their lives.

Today's Children--Teaching Responsibility
I was given an opportunity to teach my Indigo son a
lesson in responsibility over the Christmas holidays, as
he wrecked my car and now has to pay for the repair.
It is not an opportunity that I am particularly happy
about and he much less so. What was interesting about
the experience is how he at first lied to me about how
the accident occurred and then finally, after I
questioned his story, had to tell me the truth. Then,
when I told him he had to pay for the damage, he was
sorry that he had told me the truth, as well as for the
accident (because he had to pay for it).
His lesson in responsibility is one for me as well. I could
just pay for the damage to the car and not make him
pay me back. But then is not taking responsibility for
his actions and I am not helping him learn. The fact
that he is not willingly accepting responsibility for this
situation is frustrating for me. It is not the way that I
would react but he is doing what he is capable of right
now. This lesson in responsibility is about many things
for him, including acknowledging his lack of driving
experience. On a higher level, it is about accepting the
consequences of his actions, a lesson that he has
avoided for some time.
When we agree to parent Indigo children we also agree
to provide learning experiences for them. Since Indigos
generally learn things the hard way, we often have to
play roles that we are not comfortable with, roles
where we have to insist that they take responsibility
for their actions, enforce certain types of behavior and
teach them to live with the consequences of what they
have done. This can be difficult if our relationship with
them is going through a difficult phase or when we
think that they have gone through enough and just
want to smooth the path for them. It is even more
difficult when we know the outcome of the path they
are taking (at least from our experience) and want to
prevent them from experiencing the pain of the
outcome. But we must let them learn responsibility and
we are part of that lesson.
At this time many Indigo teens and young adults are
challenging us with their behavior. It almost seems that
they are doing their best to challenge our love for them
and see how far they can stretch the boundaries of our
acceptance. Yet all we can do is stand our ground and
remind them that they are responsible for their actions
and the ensuing consequences. It is not easy for any
parent to remind their child that they love them while
they also enforce consequences for their behavior. But
we did agree to teach them responsibility and the
lessons are not always easy or fun. Whatever their
behavior, they are asking us to show them how to be
responsible for their actions. Most Indigos will be
getting out of this phase when they are a little older
but until then, it will be challenging and we will be
participating in their lessons until they do.
